Regarding the need to bomb Iran, I believe the U.S. would be better off letting the Israeli's do that. The issue of a nuclear Iran is an existential issue for Israel and with President Ahmedenijad's statements, while world opinion would be against Israel, the condemnation would be half-hearted at best.

Iran may also be accelerating their pursuit of nuclear technology and ratcheting up the rhetoric in order to set themselves up in a better position for future negotiations with the West. They can claim to have more than they have and then state the will "give it up" in exchange for consessions from the West.
Either way, it is IC concensus, via public statemetns from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence that Iran is mid-next decade away from acquiring enough technological know how to make a bomb.
I think SShiell brings up an interesting point on asking if Lieberman will lose standing on committees he currently sits on. Democrats have already been making statements regarding Lieberman losing his seniority standing should he win. Why this becomes interesting, rest in the fact that it is possible the Democrats may gain 5 seats in the Senate. this could lead to the mad scramble on the part of Republicans to try to get someone to switch parties in order to maintain a majority. Could the Republicans get Lieberman to switch parties even if it is in name only in order to maintain its majority status? It is the Republicans who are backing Lieberman along with moderate Democrats who would tolerate such a move.

I agree with your comments about President Jellyfish. Should make one think about the political party's TWO names on the ticket and not just the presidential nominee. I starting to think the reason the First Lady (who I think is hot)is nuts is because she is realizing what a no-chin, spineless weasel she married and the thought of her spending the rest of her life with him must be driving her insane. Have to give her kudos for the way she got the access card to the archives room.

I predict the Chinese will find out that Jack is still alive and then President Jellyfish will cave in to them and demand that Jack gets turned over or they will send out an assasination team to create further complication in Jack's life.
