I have been trying to select the most nutty assertions on both sides for some time now.Comment Posted By chef On 6.08.2006 @ 16:45
So far, among the Israel-firsters, my favorite is the "Pallywood" faction. That is to say, the people who seriously argue that a canny Palestinian media operation is controlling the argument in the US media.
As the late Walter Kauffmanm once said. "this isn't right. It isn't even wrong." When you read stuff like this, you know the whole train has jumped the tracks.
Murtha's tight connections to the Marines strongly suggested from the beginning that the massacre did happen, yet all these silly sites got out front with denials and outrage. When will people learn to shut up and wait? The best example may have been the recent Iranian "yellow star for Jews" nonsense. The guy at the Weisenthal center WANTED it to be true so bad that he confirmed it, and off the story went--all around the world.Comment Posted By chef On 28.05.2006 @ 08:26

"Michelle Malkin. Is there anyone who writes with such fearlessness in the face of the most obnoxious, obscene, and nauseating criticism imaginable?"
Well, my god! Let's just roll her in maleable gold and polish her until she blinds the cosmos.
What makes John Cole better is that he is smart enough to realize the nuances, or even ambiguities, of most issues. Moreover he sometimes reviews beers. This is significant because he comes off as the sort of guy with whom I'd enjoy sharing a drink.
Malkin, by contrast, opines like someone who, had she been around at the Creation, would have been offering helpful hints.Comment Posted By chef On 20.12.2005 @ 09:37
