ARE PARTS OF THE NSA TELEPHONE RECORDS STORY BOGUS?
Could the real answer be in the CALEA law? You remember, the one Clinton pushed and got passed in 1994 by the Democrat House and Senate. The law that allows realtime monitoring and data collection of all the phone networks. All it takes is a court order or 'other legal means' to enable the systems. The CALEA website is here.
In case you are interested, there was an update a few months back that added your ISP and VOIP connections to those that can be legally monitored.

Too bad the Brits didn't have a NSA calling screening system like ours -- they cite in their report yesterday that one of their key failings was to detect that one of the bombers was repeatedly calling Pakistan in the days before the bombings.

It's funny, at the Iraq war's beginning, people like me who were very much against it had to suffer the label of 'Un-American' and things of that sort. It was as if not wanting the same things as the Bush White House or wanting to get to those places using a different method made you anti-American and an anti-freedom idiot.

I get a kick outta the fact that he/she/it's name has not surfaced - this is a false accusation which is in fact a crime -- he/she/it is 22 years old which eliminates any immunity protection based on age -- he/she/it is a criminal and his/her/it's name should be publicized. If he/she/it was 18 and had been at Abu Grave -- would we know all the details??? hummm??? -- name, name(s) and residence of parents, all the romantic details of his/her/it's life - or lack thereof -- interviews with everyone who has known/seen or claims to have known/seen him/her/it - since diaperhood.

When you construct an alternate reality for yourself, and then you live in it -- The view from that universe is different than the real one. Defeatocrats, including the NYTimes have constructed their very own imaginary universe. The view from there is really weird.
Don't be so hard on the occupiers of their fairy tale world, they are trying the best they can to convince you to come live with them in it.
Did you see, the LA Times is laying off another group of workers and shutting one of their major printing plants -- Joy to the world, and Merry Christmas to all.
