REFLECTIONS ON GOD, MAN, AND CPAC

What you have pointed out inadvertently is the fact that many of the thought leaders in the Conservative media are unwilling to address the nuances of life in America today. For example, I am continually frustrated at Rush for demonstrating a simpleton's view of economy when he pretends that the wealthy business owners are not participating the in fleecing of our country. Rush takes a position en extreme in order to have listeners err on the side of freedom.

They do this for good reason, showing no weakness is the best way to bluff your opposition into retreat. However, this will not occur with the liberals. They will never retreat for long. The communists of the old USSR retrenched themselves after the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the fall of the Soviet Empire only to reemerge in various incarnations. They think that they are on the side of history, with a winning hand.

Teenagers of today need to be listened to and understood, then they need to be lead. Yes, we hearken back to an age of principles and morals. Yes we stand upon the rock of Jesus Christ and believe that the Bible is God's instruction manual for our lives and his love letter to his bride. Can you sense the vision, the clarity here. If they can't stomach Rush or Ann tell them to keep listening. Kids must do things that they don't enjoy from time to time. I remember when I was a child, I thought like a child and I was made to eat my veggies.

THE IRAQIS ARE GROWING UP

I welcome the Iraqi invitation to leave, but we should make some suggestions about helping them secure their future. Having a 300,000 man army is wonderful, but it's not enough. They live in a rough neighborhood and will need some support. 2011 may be possible, but we need to start now.

First, they have no air defense or fixed wing close air support capability. In the battle against the Madhi Army in Basra, we provided close air support with fixed wing and rotorcraft. One of the units left in Iraq should be alert facilities and surface to air defense systems.

Second, the Kurds (acyually the PKK) are a problem. Once we are gone, the Turks will act with considerably less restraint.

Third, they have no logistics/mobility assets. These would be easier to develop than fighter and rotorcraft operators, but again we need to get them started.

REACTION TO NORTH CAROLINA AD A TASTE OF THE FUTURE

I used to live in Goldsboro and I think people there would consider a long time membership in Trinity UCC including substantial financial support to be pretty radical.

If you have a rabid, racist preacher spewing an anti-American message, why is it racist to call him on it? The more damning question might be: Why didn't Obama call him on it?

OBAMA'S SPEECH A CALL FOR A VICTIMHOOD COALITION

Senator Obama and Reverend Wright differ in only one respect. Wright openly admits his black master race and anti-American attitudes while Obama conceals them.

Michelle Obama, in spite of all the advantages she has enjoyed, only recently discovered pride in America.

Barack Obama has enjoyed similar advantages yet he could not bring himself to render the customary respect during the playing of our National Anthem.

Barack Hussein Obama is the Manchurian Candidate.

WAS THERE AN OBAMA-DALEY DEAL ON THE PRESIDENCY?

So, I gather Obama cannot count on your vote come November.

CLIMATE CHANGE? OR JUST A STRETCH OF BAD WEATHER?

People might have noticed

1. Increases in CO2 occur AFTER the temperature increases. It's on Al Gore's chart. So how can a later event cause an earlier one?

2. According to NASA, 168 billion metric tons (BMT) of CO2 are deposited in the atmosphere. Nature adds 160 BMT; man, only 8 BMT (including 6 BMT from all fossil fuels).

3. If the arctic polar ice caps (which floats on the Arctic Ocean) were to melt this afternoon, it would have zero effect on sea level. Floating ice displaces its MASS in water. When it melts, the water still has the same mass.

4. Solar radiation warms the surface of the Earth. 30% of the energy is radiated back into the atmosphere. Very close to the surface, CH4 (methane) and five tri-atomic gasses (CO2, SO2, NO2, O3 and H2O) absorb some of this energy converting radiance into motion which heats the atmosphere. Water vapor, by far the most abundant and effective green house gas, is ignored by the computer models despite being 1,000 times more effective at warming than CO2.

5. Carbon dioxide is essential to life on Earth. Only oxygen and water are more important.

6. Science is about challenging and testing hypotheses. Nothing is ever settled.

There are other explanations for climate change including chaanges in earth's motion, plate tectonics, solar activity and Volcanism. Personally, I am not convinced that CO2 is the culprit.

OBAMA AND THE RADICALS: SOULMATES?

For those who did not live through the 1960s and 1970s and have no idea who the weather underground were, This one and one half hour video puts a happy face on a violent movement.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6078589535743610981

If you happen to go to an anti-war rally today you will see the same smug "we were right" attitudes and even some of the same people (Jane Fonda). Todays A.N.S.W.E.R. is another weather underground.

Look at the faces of these intelligent people and you see a sense of waste and self delusion.

It's odd, but I recognized all the old cars. Today I wouldn't know a Chevy from a Ford.

Ayers and Dohrn are featured too.

WHY WHAT MICHELLE OBAMA FEELS ABOUT AMERICA MATTERS

Bobwire:

FYI: White men are the most discriminated group in America.

Escalation of the Vietnam War by whom? The Viet Cong during Tet? North Vietnamese during the Eastertide Offensive? Have you ever been to Vietnam?

"Undeclared" war in Cambodia? Pol Pot came to power because the NVA took South Vietnam while the democrat congress made us sit on our hands and watch. See the Case-Church Amendment.

Our country did not support apartheid in South Africa, we embargoed them.

Whose death squads in El Salvador? ARENA? Have you ever been to El Salvador?

Iran/Contra? Have you ever been to Iran? Honduras? Panama? What do you know about cocaine smuggling?

What Intelligence? Do you have a security clearance? A need to know?

Katrina? You must also believe in the AGW hoax.

OVERSELLING SUCCESS IN IRAQ

Last week on Captains Quarters, Ed had some interesting details about the differences between Shiites in Iraq and Iran. Iranian Shiites are of a Najaf sect while Iranians are of a Qom sect. Further, Iranians believe in a theocratic state while the Iraqi Shiites prefer sectarian government. Of course, there is the racial difference. Iranians are Persians (57%) and Iraqi Shiites, mostly Arabs.

From the start, al Sistani has advocated cooperating with the MNF and gaining control through the ballot box.

AJacksonian:

I lived in the Peoples' Republic of Williamsville from 1987 to 2007. Kaisertown is off Clinton Street? The Fruits are pretty rough these days.
