REVIEW: "GETTING AMERICA RIGHT"

What I would like to see is a book called, "Taking Back the Education Establishment in America" that would lay out a detailed 5, 10 and 20 year plan for rooting socialism and political correctness out of American schools and Universities. I'm greatly afraid that there will be no meaningful changes until and unless conservatives get control of the education establishment. Education is probably the most important element of this whole thing. We've made good inroads into the Courts and have broken the monopoly of the Fourth Estate. Now we need to complete the triumverate (so to speak), and begin taking the Education establishment.

IMHO, natch.

IRAQ CRISIS: FORT SUMTER OR BLEEDING KANSAS?

Actually, from what I've read, they didn't destroy the shrine. All they did was destroy the Dome, which isn't really all that old for that neck of the woods (completed in 1907, I think I read). That almost suggests that whoever did this wasn't really interested in destroying the entire shrine. 'Tis a puzzlement indeed.

HALF A MILLION READERS FOR THE HOUSE!

Rick,

I found you when you blogged the Battle of Gettysburg this past July. (Being an amature historian, I thought that was really cool.) I''ve stuck around and read you just about every day.

DISCOVERING "NEW HORIZONS"

I think part of what makes the general public unconcerned is the large contingent of fundamental Christians who steadfastly believe that the whole thing is a waste of time and money because the Bible tells us plainly that the universe is only 6,000+ years old. Any new insights into the formation of the universe are lies of Satan. (Unless, of course, the new insights confirm that the entire universe is only 6K+ years old.) Sad.

WILSON COVER-UP: TIP OF THE ICEBERG?

What makes me wonder is that the way it's written, it sounds like there was a memo that was not "Secret" that was being read. "Classified" doesn't tell you much. It could be anything from FOUO up to Top Secret. And right in the middle of the memo was a paragraph labeled (S), which, indeed would indicate that the data in that paragraph was classified "Secret".

The problem is that by law, the entire document takes the security level of the highest piece of data in it. IOW, is there was a secret paragraph in the document, the entire document must be "Red Covered", and treated as such. Are these people really that careless with Secret documents? What's Powell doing carrying Secret documents around? To be given access to Secret documents, one not only needs a "Secret" clearance, but a clear "need-to-know". All these people have a need to know?

This is starting to sound really strange.
