They weren't bugging the office, they were trying to record the office staff actually confirming they were blocking phone calls.
They were trying to ascertain the phone system in the closet had been altered to reject constituent calls.
O'Keefe was there to record the conversation and activity and was transmitting it back to the "listening device" a few blocks away.
There was no intention of planting bugs.

Thank you for that insight, Jerry. It sounds like you're saying people inside the district have a different, more moderate perspective (lifestyle?) than much of the rest of the country. Probably true.
Had the GOP put an ultra/conservative in, s/he would lose. Dede is moderate, but able to win, and can be counted on nationally to vote with the Party.
We all understand Hoffman would--great for the rest of us, but how would that help the people who actually cast their votes for him, if he isn't willing to look out for them?
I'm not sure why people don't want to acknowledge that sad fact.

The first lady is being "taken care of" because she has Aaron's cell phone which has a down-loaded copy of the tape from Jack. I was right about the prez being the baddie when everyone else thought it was the vice-prez. I bet I'm right about this too.

Hey,
Does anyone know who played Mariam (Henderson's wife)? She sure looked like the Mom who played 1n Poltigeist. Facial expressions anyway. I have been looking on some websites but I can't find anything.
