I’m probably beating my head against the wall to even ask this. If the program supposedly contained an incident that made President Bush look bad, and was not reported by the 9/11 commission, and the primary players with the Bush White House said it was a fabrication, would the author of this site, and the readers let it happen without comment or indignation?
Probably not but, following the precedent set by the Republican outrage over the Reagan mini-series, they would refrain from references to "the Communications Act of 1934" or "trustees of the public airwaves". Edward G. Robinson could have learned something from this crew. And the lefties go 0-2 on this thread as Beachbum Bob was unable to make this distinction, either.

BOLTON APPLIES THE SCREWS TO THE UN
Tano:
A very good start. Work in Abu Ghraib, Haditha, "no operational connection", maybe a mention of NASCAR and Wal-Mart, a link to some whiny Saint Sully post slamming "Christianists" and maybe, just maybe, Markos will promote you to diarist.

My cluebat award goes to the readers and contributers of this website that have yet to realize they are fascists promoting fascism and theocracy.
I'd like to know how Steve deduced that mere readers of this website are fascists -- assuming for the sake of argument that a basement-dwelling pharmaceutical entrepreneur even knows the meaning of the word. Maybe the aluminum moral compass wrapped aroung Steve's bulbous neck tumor obviates the need to ask the readership "Are you now or have you ever been...?"
Falwell for president!
Well, Steve, it is is a free country -- or is it.....? -- but don't go into a suicidal depression if your dreams for Mr. Falwell don't work out.
Oh yeah… the war in Iraq is over boys, and we lost.
Well,
Al Qaeda insurgents and Iranian black opsIraqi Minutemen are stillmurderingeliminatingpurple-ink-stained civiliansthe tools of the oil-slurping Chimpster so, if I were you, I wouldn't be so pessimistic.Bye Bye!
More like Buh-Bye...

Bryan, the Stonecutters have prompted the Republicans to outlaw recycling. You best be careful or Cheney's digital brownshirts will whisk you to a supersekret A-rab detention camp. Without a trace...

Sorry Scrapiron, I just can’t support a war criminal pres. or a police state. I’m just funny like that.
Me, too. That's why I supported the overthrow of Saddam Hussein. What about you?

BEYOND BUSH DERANGEMENT SYNDROME
Well, what are some of the other ones they suffer from?
For some, an unashamed, unembarrassed inability to comprehend the concept of cognitive dissonance. I think the DSM-IV diagnostic name is Groundhog Day Syndrome.
You've already mentioned Bush Derangement Syndrome. What the treating clinician should realize is that the sufferer has the ability to perceive cognitive dissonance but that this sparks incoherent rage and lashing out at the perceived source of the discomfort -- George W. Bush -- rather than an adjustment to the new situation or information.

FOR THE LEFT: A COMPASSION VACATION
And now the treasonous louts have been exposed for the hypocrites they truly are.
A word I would have not have used 1-2 years ago. Perhaps it is appropriate now, not to be hurled as a rhetorical bomb, but as a cold descriptor of objective truth. Very good essay.
