I hate the way the term "swiftboating" has come to mean an unfair, untrue attack on a saintly crusader who stands head and shoulders over the rest of us and thus must be taken down by evil worms crawling in the muck.
Even more depressing is the fact that half the country falls in love with gaseous, utterly phony jackasses like John Kerry and Barack Obama.Comment Posted By Tom W. On 25.04.2008 @ 14:53
Arabs are such proud people, but as a group--in their own countries, I mean--they do almost nothing to advance themselves.
As long as Arabs place loyalty to the clan, tribe, sect, religion, or ethnic group above loyalty to the nation, and as long as they tolerate corruption and sickening violence, they're doomed to be perpetual Third Worlders.
Let's hope Iraq can lead the way to a different destiny.Comment Posted By Tom W. On 4.09.2007 @ 00:28
"So the government should spend our hard-earned money playing in that 'playing field' as well, and you think that's a good way to spend time and money? A humorous diversion from the real war so the far-superior right-wingers can elbow, elbow, snicker, snicker amongst themselves?"
This may be the most incoherent post I've ever seen. You're accusing right-wingers of promoting a war out of an inordinate fear of terrorism, but at the same time these fearful pants wetters are also diluting public support for the war by providing humorous diversions from it.
I wish I were a lefty. If I were, I could unselfconsciously spew utter nonsense all day and night without feeling like a complete jackass. In this world, only right-wingers are required to make sense.Comment Posted By Tom W. On 3.09.2006 @ 13:40
it's not freedom of speech - it's you taking money to promote Ann Coulter's hate speech - it's you being part of a network that would actually sell such an ad.
