Iran has no gasoline refineries, so their economy grinds to a halt when the straits are closed. No ability to refine all their oil means they import all their gasoline. It would be economic suicide.

I went through this with my Raven. We had her for 14 years before we had to let her go. She went blind in her last year and half, but she did it in her sneaky way. We didn't realize it because she did everything like before, except jumping up on high furniture. She slept cuddled between my husband and I and ran her paws through my hair every night, for 14 years. I still miss her, but I knew we had to let her go. Your kitty will let you know when it is time.
Until then, enjoy meeting her every demand and earning her "purr" reward.

All this brouhaha does is focus the country's attention on the Clinton Administration's actions during the 90s, or lack thereof. How stupid is the left to throw such a fit? Now American's are thinking what are they hiding, and will focus like a laser beam on digging out the truth. It will remind them how grateful they were that Bush was in the White House instead of Gore, the fackless Clinton's right hand man.

Carter was horrible! I was only 6 when he was elected, but everyone in my class four years later were celebrating his leaving office. Elementary school kids knew that Reagan would take care of the Iranians. We were parroting our parents, but we knew how crappy Jimmy really was back then.
He is still just as crappy.

LEBANON BRACES FOR POST-WAR POLITICAL CHAOS
In addition, Israel now controls the south of Lebanon, where Nasrallah's base is located. The Northern areas of Lebanon really hate his guts now, and he will be more exposed than ever, since Israel will be cleaning out Hezzbollah in the South. Israel only has to stop offensive operations, not defensive operations in the South of Lebanon. Nasrallah is losing, which is why the Lebanon meeting has been postponed. Nasrallah is in a precarious position.

Nasrallah is refusing to come to the table to even discuss disarming, and this is not a ceasefire. The war continues apace. I listened to the John Bolton podcast with Pajamas Media, and I was reassured. Israel does not seem to be letting up at all, and Nasrallah will be facing his music at some point with some pissed off Lebanese. He has lost most of his infrastructure and his "banks" have been blown up. How is he supposed to help his Hezz supporting population now? I think the war will continue in Southern Lebanon for the forseeable future.

This is my theory, amateur as it is.
I think Israel is used to being stopped withing 10-14 days anytime they get serious about a military response by the US President in power at the time. Basically it's freak out time for everyone at the UN and the State Dept. to get a ceasefire imposed on Israel post haste. What if Israel did not realize that Bush would give them the time they needed to really wipe out Hezz. with a ground invasion? They would mostly do what they did at the beginning, rely on heavy air power and send quick commando raids. I think Israel finally realized that this US President wants Hezz. wiped out, and thinks Israel should just do it, let the cards fall where they may. So what if America is isolated by the EU and the Arab League in public? Privately they will all toe the US line, because they need the US more than ever with Iran being run by a nuke hungry fanatic.My two cents, take it for what it is worth.
