Very good assessment of Ted Kennedy. I did not agree with a lot of his political agenda, but no doubt the has had a great impact on the country.Comment Posted By Stix On 26.08.2009 @ 13:58
I pretty much played Soccer (football) for most of my life. I started to play pretty much when I started to walk. My older brother started tom play when they lived in Korea during the Vietnam War when my mom went to Seoul where my dad was stationed.
It is my favorite sport to watch, and hockey being a close second. I do not really like either baseball or football, I find them boring. I still watch them, but it is not as exciting as the Stanley Cup or World Cup finals.
Everyone will have their own opinions, ans most of mt friends think I am crazy. Along with being the only conservative amongst them also,so I am the weird one anyway.
I guess it is my personality of not following the crowd that attracts me also to the game.
I love lacross and also love to watch Rugby, a lot better than football in my opinion. Australian Rules Football is also an interesting sport to watch.
I agree with Frank the Tank, we will never get the top players here, there is too much money in Europe for the top players, and all the top US players go to the bug clubs across the pond.Comment Posted By Stix On 30.06.2009 @ 21:51
I ams still trying to figure out the "consensus" when 31,000 actual scientists denounce the IPCC report that was not even done by real scientists.
Did we have Global Warming?? Yes since the last Ice Age. Do we have Global Cooling now, well for many scientists we are in a cooling trend, just like the Little Ice Age,when the Sun's productivity was low. And looking at the Sun today we are having a lull in Sun Spots and Solar Flares.
And is anyone thinks that Dinosaurs were roaming with Cavemen, really need to look at some scientific literature that makes it impossible for them to be roaming together, not the Creationism library run by a non-scientific hack that has no training in geology or geography.
The Earth is not 6,000 years old. That was said by a Minister in the 19th century way before the geology was better understood. No where in the Bible does it say the Earth is 6,000 years old.
And the Ice in the Arctic is melting on one side and gaining on the other. Does not come to any kind of real conclusion. Mainly the Ice is thicker than it was back in the 70s. And the Antarctic Ice is growing more than the ArcticComment Posted By Stix On 12.05.2009 @ 16:18
Very good article
I am on the skeptic side of Global Warming or Climate AChange whatever they call it this week. I am because of the actual scientific method. With the AGW propagandists do not tell you is the IPCC is not done by scientists and many of the scientists thatdid the scientific work do not agree with their conclusions. The IPCC report is done by bureaucrats in the UN.
And most of the scientific method used by the Deniers, can be backed up by the actual results, not models done on a computer.
And the whole thing with ID and Evolution is going bat crazy. Geez, didn't we already have the Monkey trials. This ID craze is driving people away from the conservative movement.
Can the people on the right please start fighting the real enemy, the Leftists that want to bring European Socialism to the United States and not with each other.Comment Posted By Stix On 11.05.2009 @ 16:20
I think that us on the right are fracturing at a high rate and we will be on the loosing side for a long time. All the wars over who is a real conservative and who is not has killed us and will for years to come. Unless we finally get over who is more conservative or the "True Conservative", and finally get to fighting the Left in this country, we are doomed to having Obama and his merry European Socialist rule for many decades.
Once we figure out who we are suppose to be fighting and each other, we might have a chance unless we are too far divided by then.Comment Posted By Stix On 23.04.2009 @ 15:36
