THE PUBLIC OPTION: NOT A SLIPPERY SLOPE -- JUST PLAIN LIES

It seems to me that an awful lot of legislation is done with the diea of a further goal at some point. The whole starve the beast thing was supposed to lead to smaller govt. (Ha!). Invading Iraq so we could be prepared to attack Iran. Just because you take the first step does not mean you have to take the next. magic isnt real.

ENEMIES OF THE STATE

Seeing we are being called terrorists does this mean we could become as popular as Obama's buddy Bill Aires?

GLENN BECK AND THE RADICAL RIGHT

"...that doesn’t change the fact that Beck lacks the ability to think rationally."

Who made you the arbiter of rational thought, Rick? You took the time and effort to write a really long post to argue the point you made in that clause; and frankly I don't come away with anything but the thought that the author is another self-satisifed baby-boomer, who thinks the sun shines out of his navel, and is oh-so-impressed with himself for his open-mindedness and high intellect.

You talk the language of the moral relativist, and that is why people of principle don't care to read you any more.

ON FAILURE - OBAMA'S AND AMERICA'S

Your analysis ignores the blame America first mindset. Liberals are opposed to any war that directly serves America's self-interest. A lot of people think that Obama's plans have little to do with reviving the economy and will do more harm than good, so why not oppose them? How is opposing plans that you think will make things worse the same as wishing failure? Don't you think it could be the opposite?

A TIPPING POINT ON OBAMA IN SIGHT?

Congress knows if they vote for Obama's tax and spend policies that they will have to answer to the voters sooner than he does. They are probably getting an earful when meeting with constituents at home. I'd be very surprised if Congress enacts Obama's tax and spend plans. The tipping point probably has already arrived for Congress.

WEAK TEA

I really don't give a toot about what a looney lib from Canada has to say. They gave us Michael Moore, didn't they?

It would have been nice if the first conservative protest had been a little larger in number. The truth is that most conservatives have to work for a living, paying taxes to support the lazy libs who don't work but collect a government check and get extra money from ACORN and other loon organizations to be part of a rent-a-mob. The left has had 50 years of practice and plenty of time on their hands to organize demonstrations. Mr. Obama just gave ACORN another $3 Billion of our tax dollars so they can rig the next election and organize a protest should they happen to lose.

IS 'BARACK THE MAGIC NEGRO' RACIST?

"In fact, would we even know about this story if RNC members hadn’t blown the whistle?'

This is an important fact to consider. Even if the song wasn't appropriate (which clearly it was) the way Mike (or Robert) Duncan handled this clearly damaged the Republican Party. The RNC is supposed to build up the party not tear it down.

If it wasn't obvious from the election itself it should be obvious with Duncan's current actions is that there are forces WITHIN the Republican Party trying to destroy it and we must first rid ourselves of this enemy within before we can move forward against the Democratic Party.

The issue is not the song it is how the controversy has been handled and for making the controversy so Public (I read about it in an Indian website) Duncan should be forced to resign. His actions HURT the Party whereas his job is supposed to BUILD BACKUP the party. And for that he needs to leave.

Republicans won't win elections by further alienating its base.

Robert “Mike” Duncan needs to immediately resign from the RNC. If he doesn't Republicans will never win a national election again.

I am disgusted that he has been part of the GOP. He is nothing but a thug.

RELUCTANTLY - COMMENTS OPEN AGAIN

Rick:

I know you consider yourself a resonable man. I know you want to look at yourself in the mirror and say I am a resonable man.

These are Unreasonable times. The times demand those who can pick a side. The forces that play within politics, society and the economy are coming to a peak. This is more the time for hoisting the bloody flag and charging into the mouth of Hell. Other times are for resonable men to have quiet discussions, that you value that makes you a good man, That you fight so hard against partisanship in a desperate fight makes your goodness ineffective and wasted.

Those who opposed the Bolsheviks had too many reasonable men and the Bolsheviks overcame them with shear murderous intensity. Where do you stand and where will you stand?

The last thing I will say is do not strive to be liked by anyone including yourself.

Steve
A thinking Partisan.
