COULD WE WIN IF WE HAD TO FIGHT WORLD WAR II TODAY?

Rick

Everyone on the Left and Mushy center have done eveything possible to prevent there from ever being another Generation like that. We are being rotted from the inside.

Could a president today ever be outright convicted of clear Treason?

If not the answer is clear. I am more a Roman at heart. If someone commits treason in time of war then edeal with them harshly.

Why does treason never Prosper?
Because if it does none dare call it treason.

This is where all of us are now. None dare call it treason.

A ROGUE REACTION: PALIN IS NO REAGAN

Rick

You fall into a strange category
I can see you arriving at your destination by emotion.
You then use reason to Justify why you are there and why it is good.
Not a lot different than the rest of us.
The biggest differnce, you wont admit what INITIALLY brought you to your position.

That you prefer refined conservatism of a higher pedigree is after all a matter of preference. We Rotgut drinkers will wait for the revolution.

Viva la Revolution
Viva la Madame Palin

PS We have run out of cake.

PALIN AND HER SUPPORTERS IN A TIME WARP

Rick

I hate to break it too you but nice and nuanced is running out of gas.

Take a look at the Decline and fall of the Roman Empire. Not Gibbon but some of the newer stuff when filtered fopr Bias.

We become too civilized right before the fall.

If the Fall comes again there will be no eastern Empire or Church to maintain learning, we are too interconnected. We all go down together.

This dark age will be longer and deeper thanks to civilized, soft people.

We didn't break the eggs beacause it would upset gentle sensitivities, so we didn't make the omlette, so now we can all starve in happy knowledge of our brilliance and sensitivty.

Remember we must speak and act nicely to the enemy because they respect graciousness and gentility.

Sorry - this isn't one of my "be nice to the Dems post." Read it again, ninny. And this time, try not to block the words with your finger.

MORE THAN POLITICAL CORRECTNESS OR VICTIMHOOD AT WORK IN FORT HOOD ATTACK

I been raised in, active duty, or worked for the military for most of my life.

In plain speak the Military is Lousy with PC.

Everybody fears the false whisper that will end a career.
FEAR is rampant. Get promoted not by keeping the country safe or killing the enemy but rather by kissing PC butt at every opportunity.

Rick, your words betray the fact that you either have no true knowledge of the political culture of the modern military or you are blinded by idelogical purism of the white center line in the middle of the road.

The career Military has ossified into an unmoving tree of political correctness.

This is the Military. First and foremost it should, and must be a fraternity of Honorable paid killers.

Put all the nice stuff on top you want but when cut from that anchoring tether of committing grevious harm and terror upon those who would do the same us, the military becomes little more than a paid marching band.

All I can say is enjoy the music, because soon that is all you will get.

THE PHILISTINES AMONG US

When does the price paid become so high that the journey may never be made? We are approching the point of raw survival. I agree, not there yet, but no one ever sees the line until it has long been crossed.

You must exist for your principles to matter. This is always on my mind. You must see in black and white first to give the shades of gray an anchor.

But how do you know you are right?

You are correct. Being “right” is not the same as being “honest.” It’s not so much the result but rather the journey itself that matters.

INTELLECTUAL CONSERVATISM ISN'T DEAD: IT'S RESTING

Rick

We must have a large tent..Yes, but we must also know when the Barbarians are at the gate. The rifle over the mantle is fine, but if your enemies know it will never be used it is useless.

This is the moment for intellectuals to exploit the gaps in the enemy lines driven by the populists. work hand in hand and do not treat them like unwashed masses unworthy of inclusion.

A good approach is to recognize their efforts where they are most effective.

Treat intellectuals like PsyOps and Pouplists like frontline Centurions. Work together but don't diss the Ranks of Bronze charging into the fray.

Follow them with wine and water and remind them they don't want to see those big armoured bulls charging around their beautiful china shop agian

IT'S GOOD TO BE A 'DOMESTIC TERRORIST'

Of course, a bastion of fairness in reporting such as Rick never bothers to update the status of such accusatory slant provided by the Heritage Foundation who has accused the entire administration of such allegedly orchestrated effort to label the opposition as "domestic terrorists." It just so happened that HF was dead wrong. Apparently, that page was a creation of one person in the sea of my.barackobama.com blog rolls (e.g. like Townhall.com) who was brought to the site's admin and upon realization of violation of terms, it was subsequently removed. But no, no, don't get up, let's keep the pieces of doo-doo of journalism float around in the toilet. I mean, after all, who needs flushing when the pungent aroma of dishonestly is so palatable.

NO DOUBTING TED KENNEDY'S IMPACT ON HISTORY

Amazing! "One American family stood at the apex of power largely bought for them by their immensely wealthy father". Ever hear of anyone named BUSH??? And I don't mean #41. It goes way back before him. I neither loved nor hated Ted, but let's hear some facts and not the normal left/right BS. His brothers were both "might have beens". He, despite his NUMEROUS human flaws (and let's face it Chappaquiddick is #1), did more for the underprivileged than any legislator in history. Even the most fiscal conservative must surely believe that SOME people need government assistance. THAT is his legacy. And maybe, and I mean only maybe, he may have earned his way into heaven because of that. I neither praise the man nor despise him, I only wish that I live long enough to do 1 millionth the service to mankind that he was able to do whether or not it was through his wealth that he was able to do it. At least he did it. How about you or me???
