POLLSTERS FINALLY STARTING TO ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS ON IRAQ

"Also, a whopping 66% believe that losing the war would cause America to lose its super power status."

That's actually pretty sad. Seeing as Iraq is tiny compared to Vietnam, why should anyone think this? Vietnam didn't cause us to lose the Cold War.

OH. MY. GOD.

"are you a christain or not"

What does that matter? Christians should accept all of science. Hell, the Catholics for the most part have.

"ANTI-MILITARISM" OR JUST PLAIN SILLY?

"Funny, this is only about the liberal school boards, and what a shock… you’ve never written anything critical of Kansas schoolboards."

PLEASE do not call the people who think this comic book is a good teaching tool (or shows accurate history) "liberals". True liberals would find this attempt at brainwashing disgusting. The kind of history fools like Zinn and Chomsky is equivalent to jingoistic propaganda - it has no basis in historical fact and it's just there to score political points.

You also used the tu quoque logical fallacy (don't worry, I've seen it many times in the comments) - that if Rick condemns San Fran he must condemn Kansas (he did do both, but that's beside the point of your fallacious argument".

Calling it "anti-history" is perfect. Zinn himself said that history shouldn't be the disinterested study of past events, but an activist narrative to promote an agenda. And Chomsky...well, he and reality have never been good friends.

I also thought I'd get angry when I first heard about this - but my reaction ended up being the same as yours. It's just a riot - you couldn't make up a better parody of far-Leftist thinking.

OBAMA AND THE ASSASSINATION FACTOR

"The fact that Rick Moran is even raising the issue, rather gently, is admirable. Don’t dismiss it because “they” are worse than “us.”"

Oh there are plenty of things I read on right-wing blogs and just hang my head in shame (heck, almost as often as when I read left-wing ones). I misread your comment and thought you meant that bigotry and hatred were a Right-only phenomenon and I apologize for that.

" I would add, however, the stars of America’s current “freak show” (as a new book aptly describes the political sribes & screamers of the new media) spew gallons of hatred and toxic accusations on candidates of all colors, tho I agree a black candidate is in greater physical danger"

Why is that Rick can decry the bigotry from members of the Right, but people on the Left pretend their side is innocent of hatred - when most of the awful, angry, offensive posts come from the left-side of the blogosphere?

MAKING THE WORLD SAFE FOR BIGOTS

"It’s a running joke originating from the Simpsons. Homer thinks the Lord’s name is Jebus."

Based on her other posts it's quite obvious she doesn't mean it in a purely joking manner.

"Actually, no. The last acceptable group are gays – if my understanding of the latest acts of legislation and attempts at changing the constitution of the United States are interpreted correctly."

Heh, try living in Massachusetts and saying that.

White males are truly the last group that can be bashed to no end, Christians appear to come in a close second (and like a previous commentor I'm an atheist and don't see why there's a need to trash them).

CRASHING AND BURNING

"I am no fan of Amanda Marcotte, but you surely must have meant to set off irony meters everywhere but linking to Dan Riehl and Michelle Malkin for evidence that Amanda is not to be taken seriously."

...except the links were to see quotes of hers.

GAME ON!

"I think your in for a suprise."

Doubt it. They barely beat a Pats team without its best defensive player.

"When it comes down to it, which QB would you want your team to have for a final 2 minute drill, Grossman or Manning? It seems like a no brainer to me."

I'd rather have Brady.
