GOING ALL HOFSTADTER ON ME

Obama has had some pretty extreme ideas as well; that probably helps to draw extreme dislike from those opposed to him.

WHAT PLANET HAS OBAMA BEEN VISITING THE LAST YEAR?

"So what happened? Despite possessing the most lopsided majorities in the House and Senate in a generation, very little has been done."

I really think that some of the stuff he has been trying to do is just too extreme left. I mean, there are tons of RINO's in Congress, they really aren't that hard for Democrats to get along with. But he went so far left he couldn't even get people like McCain and Lindsey Graham to side with him.

HOW DUMB ARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?

As far as the "$60-$80 extra a month in our paychecks," isn't there a cap on that at $400 per person per year?

I may be wrong, but I am under the impression that any amount over that is that much less that you will get back in your tax refund at the end of the year (right about now).

ZUCKERMAN'S LAMENT, KRUGMAN'S DISGUST

As far as what Zuckerman says about Obama dropping in the polls more than any other politician ever, it's not necessarily a surprise.

He campaigned on "Change," and that is what we got. We got someone who had no experience and apparently didn't know what he was doing.

Now, I certainly don't think we should have lifetime politicians and I certainly don't think that they are the only type that should become President, but on the other hand we now see what happens when we elect a person with no experience and no respect for his country or the office he is running for.

IN FOR A PENNY, IN FOR A POUND: MORE EYOREISM ON BROWN

There's nothing you can really do. Some people just naturally have a conformist attitude. If they align themselves with a certain group, they then feel like they need to make themselves fit in as much as possible. Personally I just choose to think what I think, and if a Republican agrees then I am "aligned" with them on that one issue. If a Democrat thinks the same as I do then I agree with them. It just so happens that the way the parties are lined up right now, I most often agree with Republicans.

But not everyone is like that. And sometimes a person just happens to agree with almost everything another person (or maybe group) thinks as well.

This sort of reminds me of something I see a lot concerning Rush Limbaugh (or whoever else). Many liberals criticize conservatives or Republicans and say "ahh you're just going along with what Rush said, etc." This personally makes me think wait, what if its the other way around? It's not that I listen to Rush and then decide to believe what he believes, what if I listen to Rush because he says things I agree with?

DOES A BROWN VICTORY POSE A DANGER FOR THE GOP?

Brown winning in MA isn't going to fix the Republican party's problems, but it will prevent a lot of problems for America in the meantime.

The Republican party will still have to contend with the fact that they are becoming a watered-down, moderate party that has lost its base of conservatism, and Brown's victory certainly isn't going to help that at all. But it would still be a small victory coming during a time of major weakness.

Of Ax Men and Astro Babes

Not necessarily on the entire topic of the article, but it was mentioned...

There is nothing funnier than the scenes of S&S Aqua Logging from the Ax Men series last year. The show really is pretty good and they were just classic.

IS OBAMA BEING PRUDENT OR IS HE INCOMPETENT?

TM: "The difference in approach between conservatives and liberals lies in the fact that conservatives see terrorists as the enemy, and the liberals see conservatives as the enemy."

Funny, I've heard the exact same sentiment from liberals - liberals see various evils as the enemy: hunger, sickness, disease, racism, what have you - and that conservatives see liberalism itself as the enemy (e.g., "Liberalism is a mental disease!" bumper stickers). You're more alike than you care to admit, using the same exact arguments, except on the flip side of the mirror.

ABOUT MY DECISION TO LEAVE THE RIGHT

Did you just watch the Seinfeld episode with Elaine and the commie or something? Hilarious!

"Ever notice how gorgeous women are always hanging around pimple faced, straggly bearded communists? Being a commie is a babe magnet. It probably has something to do with the fact that some women are suckers for losers, or have a soft spot for lost puppy dogs. Whatever, once a chick knows your a communist, they can’t wait to jump your bones."
