AL GORE IN SWEDEN: THE SPEECH HE SHOULD HAVE GIVEN

Bravo Rick, spilled my coffee but otherwise a wonderful way to start the day.

FORMING THE CIRCULAR FIRING SQUAD FOR MIERS

All of Bush's judicial appointments so far have been solid. Like all presidents, he's concerned with his legacy. I'm sure he's watched his Dad with Souter hanging around his neck like a big ugly albatross and is not eager to emulate him.

WHEN "THAT'S THE WAY IT IS" ISN'T

I think for the MSM it's a combination of decreased market share, increased competition and a 24/7 news cycle. Everybody's trying to scoop everybody else and be the next superstar.

MY "HOUSE" IS ONE YEAR OLD TODAY!

Here's hoping for many more years of blogging Rick. I'm a voracious reader and appreciate good writing so my daily visits to RWN are always a treat.

BIRD FLU: WE'RE ON THE CLOCK

If this does reach pandemic proportions it will overshadow Katrina and Rita combined. Let's hope the politicians and MSM will rise above the petty politics they engaged in with Katrina and don't get "stuck on stupid".

IT'S MY BLOG SO F*** YOU AND THE MOTHERF***IN' HORSE YOU RODE IN ON

When I see cursing on blogs I just figure the bloggers writing skills aren't up to snuff and they're trying to make up for it by sensationalizing.

Cursing does have its place however. A good string of curses afther hitting one's finger with a hammer helps take the sting out.

WELCOME TO THE 2008 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN

Kinda coincidental how Bill goes on the attack just when the Able Danger hearings are about to begin.

THEY ALL FROZE

While there's been very little mention of it from what I've been able to gather the U.S. Coast Guard are the unsung heros of this whole disaster. They were rescuing people as soon after the storm as they could get helicopters in the air.

THE COUNCIL HAS SPOKEN

You did a great job on that timeline Rick, I meant to, and should have, dropped you a note at the time.

OUTRAGE FATIGUE

Great post Jim, I've often had the same thought. I watch Tony Blair speak with his accent and eloquence and then cringe when W struggles through his speech, hoping he doesn't screw it up and give the MSM yet another field day.
