I WILL MISS THE LEFT'S BUSH DERANGEMENT

Obama is the pure political chameleon. Obama uses the colors and sights and sounds of the world around him to provide him with all the cover he ever needs.

It does not take a rocket scientist to detect which way the political winds are blowing to base your presidential campaign on those very winds. Obama did this while serving as a Senator, backing the Democratic constituencies while setting himself apart in a singular way - he was the only Senator not to have the War vote hanging over his head. And he took that singular difference all the way to the Nomination, watching one after another opponent ultimatley hang themselves on that petard.

With the niomination secure he had to determine where could he amend his policies and move to the center and not alienate his base. Again, rocket science is not needed to see he could almost do anything he wanted and still keep his base. He already had the young - if they were to ever be an impact on the playing field. He had the left - they would nver consider voting for a Republican. He just had to capture enough of the middle to push over the top and that turned out to be easy when faced with a mediocre opponent. (Note: Whether you believe it or not, Sarah Palin almost upset that apple cart.) So he changed his spots to fit the situation - he moved to the center and in so doing lured the center and RINOs into his camp.

Now the only thing left to do is ensure he keeps the Presidency for two terms. And, ever the chameleon, what better way to do that than continue his own prudence at voing "present". Ever the chameleon, he is already dong that by backpedaling on many campaign promises - by deferring to Congress, he has the perfect patsy. Pelosi and Reid can be his bad cops while Obama plays the good cop - chameleon to the end. BDS is not something he would actively use - it is too easy to just let everyone around him use that tool to his own ends and means. The means? Letting BDS run rampant - congressinal hearings and kangaroo courts abound. The ends being? Letting Pelosi/Reid have just enough slack to hang themselves while he keep his distance so that he can ride to the rescue come the 2010 backlash. The trick will be to do so and maintain his congressional advantages.

Many people were skeptical of Clinton because he constantly tested the prevailing winds to determine his course. They ain't never seen anything like this kind of animal!

GLENN GREENWALD IS A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR

The actual source of the citation is one time GM CEO and Eisenhaur's Defense Secretary, “Engine Charlie” Wilson, who declared, “What’s good for America is good for General Motors, and what’s good for General Motors is good for America.”

REMAKING THE RIGHTROOTS

There have been several political revolutions in recent years if you would like to stand back and look. This particular revolution is not much of a revolution and is more like 1976 to me than anything else. 1976 was not so much a revolution but a condemnation of the hubris exhibited by the Republicans characterized by Richard Nixon and the Watergate fiasco. And even though Gerald Ford, IMHO, did the right thing by pardoning Nixon, that one act sealed his eventual defeat to Carter more than any other.

In 1976 Carter was an outsider, with little political experience (one term governor of Georgia) and no ties to the DC machine (sound familiar?). The country voted for Carter as much to deny another Republican administration as anything else and the House and Senate Republican losses were as much evidence to it as the Presidential race. But, even with all of this going for Carter, the race was still a fairly close one. Carter won but did not gain much of a mandate from my perspective.

This years race has many of the same atributes. The country is tired of the Republican administration - evidence is clear to all in every Obama speech detailing the "failed policies of the last 8 years." The country is tired of an Iraq war. And the failure of the current Congress to accomplish ANYTHING is nothing but a sideline to the overall political picture. Obama, like Carter in 76 and less so like Clinton in 92, finds himself in the right place and the right time. Nothing more.

A revolution? I hardly think so but I could be proven wrong. Show me the money! Show me an 8+ point spread between Obama and McCain in next Tuesday's popular vote. Show me a 140+ spread in the electoral vote between Obama and McCain.

Show me a close win by Obama come next Tuesday and I will show you another Carter moment for the Democrats. And then it will be up to Obama and the Democrats to show us Obama is more than Carter redux as a President.

WRONG WAY OBAMA STRIKES AGAIN

"He’s accomplished more before 1997 than McCain has his whole career… No Smears…all documented facts… I don’t need to smear McCain… The facts are plain as day…"

OK, Tim. All documented facts. List them like you would with a resume. You know, position held - then accomplishments. Show us the list and then be able to back it up. You know - No Smears, all documented facts.

From where I stand, Obama is a political opportunist, an empty suit with an empty resume who happens to be articulate and charismatic - charismatic in a way the Hillary is not. So, if you know so much about your Messiah, then educate us. Show us his resume.

If you can.

OBAMA'S FULL COURT PRESS AGAINST FREE SPEECH

Obama will do to America what the Nutroots have been forcasting Bush would do. For years, the left has stated that Bush has and will continue to trample the Constitution and the day will come when NeoCons wearing jackboots will haul all away who dare to oppose them. But it is the likes of Obama who will do to the Constitution what the left has been screaming about Bush all these years. This episode is only the beginning.

A SPLENDID LITTLE WAR

Meanwhile Obama (The "ONE") has provided the following statement (from his website):

"I strongly condemn the outbreak of violence in Georgia, and urge an immediate end to armed conflict. Now is the time for Georgia and Russia to show restraint, and to avoid an escalation to full scale war. Georgia's territorial integrity must be respected. All sides should enter into direct talks on behalf of stability in Georgia, and the United States, the United Nations Security Council, and the international community should fully support a peaceful resolution to this crisis."

I find it interesting that "the One" has called on the United Nations Security Council, among others, to begin direct talks. Doesn't he know anything of the UN Security Council - such as Russia's veto power over any and all resolutions from that very council?

Evey time this man opens his mouth regarding Foreign Policy - I won't call it stupidity for the man is not stupid - but I will call him completely ignorant, regardless of his 300 foreign policy advisors.

HILLARY EMERGES FROM THE SHADOWS

I agree with J. Hillary's first problem during the primaries was when the public decided her winning was not inevitable. And with that came doubts and second guessing. With the inevitability of her receiving the nomination, additional scrutiny into her past, her experiences and claims of presidential experience came to the forfront and the resultant review was not to her liking. Once Obama broke through, along with his own organization's power in the early caucus states having paved the way for this upset of inevitability, the Clinton bandwagon was no more.

Clinton's frontrunner status in 2012 is solely predicated on an Obama defeat now. Four years as the Democratic standard-bearer, regardless of how his fortunes play out in the House and Senate, will make his position unassailable by Clinton or any other Dem.

BREAKING: PULSE DETECTED IN HOUSE REPUBLICANS

One of the things you must remember is the price of oil is a duel indicator:

First is the spot price of oil. If you need to buy oil on the market today that is the price you would pay.

Second it is representative of the futures market. And by futures I am talking about 2012 deliveries. To say drilling will not effect that price is disingenuous at best. If drilling were to occur where current infrastructure exists, there could be tangible benefits within one year. Also, the ten year mark is rediculous. Talk to the people who drill for a living and they will tell you that offshore or ANWR drilling will show tangible results by 6 years at the most.

Third: If we are looking at tight supplies today, driving the price of oil to the $150 a barrel mark, where are we going to be in that magic 10 year mark if we continue to do nothing about drilling. $250 a barrel? $350? That is an important consideration because if you believe we can divert our energy consumption of oil through conservation and alternatives in just 10 years, then you deserve the price you pay at the pump - today and 10 years from now.

ON BEING CALLED A 'RACIST'

Rick, there have been a few times where you and I have parted ways on certain issues but in this one we are in lock step. I have tried to discuss with some of my liberal friends the empty suit that I see as Obama and without once even noting the color of his skin I have been called a racist and with that my every word, as far as they are concerned, is without merit.

The fact is I could be crowing to the heavens about the color, hue, and shade of his skin but not one word about that would remove the fact that he is a hard-core left wing partisan political opportunist with a blank sheet of paper for a resume.

And you can parse your words all you want and it will not change the fact that Obama has played his entire campaign strategy on race. It revealed itself on the day he announced his candidacy for the office of President when he asked the Reverend Wright NOT to stand with him on the podium. And it has reared its head, at his command, virtually every week of this long campaign.
