A WELCOME DIVERSION: LET'S TALK COFFEE

Thanks,
I learned a lot about what (except for 13 months in Nam) has been my morning beverage of choice for 55 years. I add cream (when I can get it, it stopped being PC about 30 years ago) or milk to mine, as does my daughter. Wife and son both drink theirs like you. But we still seem to get along ok.

It is nice to getaway from the frustrating/depressing "real world" now and then.

A DECLARATION OF (SEMI-AUTONOMOUS) INDEPENDENCE (SORT OF)

The current President seems to have a lot of "Read My Lips....." in him.

Bush is a bad President (because he is a liberal) but not close to Carter. I still think that had JFK won he would have been worse. We had to pick between two liberals. We picked the least liberal; I think. But like you I am having second thoughts. To say he was for Rummy before he was against Rummy in less than a month is not a confidence builder!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

230 years ago Jefferson argued that citizens need the same weapons as the government because the worst of us go into government. Jefferson then proves himself to be one of the worst of us 24 years later. This year's elections are again proving the point. The worst of us go into government. We need the same weaponry as the government to protect ourselves from the worst of us.
The exception that proves the rule is Ronnie. Ronnie was not only not the worst of us but was the very best of us. I am sure he is rolling over in his grave at what Allen did! Allen has adopted one of the slogans of the Socialist Labor Party (the folks who scared his mother into denying her religion 66 years ago) "The ends justify the means". As a conservative I disagree with that slogan and am asamed to be grouped with Allen and the like.

PHOENIX RISING

In my opinion Brian has been and is the best linebacker in football for 3 years! He is the reason the Bears have got to the playoffs. Rex has been one of the reasons the Bears do not win in the playoffs. I thought Rex had improved but now?

NO GREATER LOVE

In my 45 years of adult life I have known a few Frogmen/SEALs. I had a friend whoe was a Frogman and gave his life fighting the real JFK's war in 1963 Cliff Walsh God bless you Cliff.
You do not get throuth BUD/s if you do not put the team ahead of yourself (as a general rule, which based on the SEALs I know is almost 100%). PO2 Michael A. Monsoor is in my opinion a typical SEAL. And I thank God there are still patriotic Americans like him that are keeping my family safe.

LOOKING FOR HATE IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES

No wonder they have had trouble getting elected the last 28 years even with the total support of the MSM. Of course before Talk Radio the total support of the MSM did help them for almost 40 years. They have not changed a lot since 1930. The big change was Talk Tadio in the 70's followed by the blogs this century. What libs said that was just plain rascist or crazy was(and still is) usually hidden by the MSM. But talk radio started shining the light on it and them and America is a much better place because of this 28 year old "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy". That is my opinion; Dan Rather and Hillary have very different opinons.

HAMAS SIGNS CONTRACT TO RUN AMTRAK

Absolutely right! I voted for Bush in 04 but he is doing his level best to make me regret my vote. He seems to be less than honest. Downright disingenuous when it comes to "The War on Terror". First on 2/10 he attacks the Danes (or ally with troops in Iraq) for offending the Fascists with the cartoons and then he wants to cut a deal with a country that supports Al Queda! Feb has been another very bad month for the White House and the folk that work there! We've seen a Bush/Cheny team that does not look at all like the team we were sold on in 04.

AT WAR WITH MODERNITY

Steve - Thanks. I was behind on the news yesterday. Bush is letting Chirac tell us what to do in the War on Terror. Our statement yesterday day was almost word for word what the French had said the day before. Bush had decided to imitate JFK. It seems I did vote for a flip flopper in 04. How sad

Does anyone with an IQ over 70 still buy the "religion of peace" Bul- Shi-? At least the Germans with their new brave leader are standing up and fighting back. The French are in full surrender mode - what else is new? - saying that "These cartoons are indeed offensive to the belief of Muslims" and firing the editor(France Soir, Jacques Lefranc) of the paper that dared to republish them. No wonder they are known throughout the world as "Cheese eating surrender monkeys"! They have already forgot hwo their apeasment of the fascistMuslims contributed to 2 months of riots last Fall.

The cowardly, myopic "Peace in Our Time" approach has always led to diaster. Tyrants must be stopped sooner or later. Later usually costs many more lives than sooner. But too many cowards or morons say "This time is different. This time is we kowtow to them they will not harm us any more." Some people (including most of the MSM/DNC) either never learn are too cowardly to act on what they have learned.

Steve - It seems Bush does indeed like the French. Your quote of the State Dept looks very much like what the French said Thors. I have not yet seen where we lost our brains or our guts. Can you give a URL please?
