I had my daughter read this Rick...she is a baseball fan through and through (and she has a special place in her heart for the Red Sox...sorry LOL) She printed this up and she wants to bring it to school to share with some teachers in a history class...they are actually talking about how sports have been such an important part of the American life...This is an awesome post and you did a great job explaining many things...

LOL...I don't know Rick. These people are crazy. It's like they live to be so liberal-- to defy anything that has the slightest chance of being percieved as violent. Berkeley is the city of lemmings...they will follow whoever leads them...right off the cliff and into the abyss.

I read an article about Al (the bore)Gore and all of this...wrote a little bleeb but YOU take the cake.
I also read about Ted Kennedy supporting Jean Francois Kerrie vs. Shillary (Can we all see the SMOKE STACKS coming out of her ears)...gotta love politics eh?

I was very disappointed in almost all the media coverage of these events. Some of the stuff being said, by the Mayor and others not in media, really had me wondering what was going on. So much of what was reported was myth...it amazes me to no end. This will make a good book someday.

MY "HOUSE" IS ONE YEAR OLD TODAY!
Has it been a year? WOW. I started blogging a year ago too over at Blgospot...where you were originally. I remember the early days of the Wide Awakes, trying to figure out who we were and what we wanted to do. You were the calm, cool presence Cao and I needed after we got attacked SO many times at our sites. While Cao was blowing steam and smoke out of her ears, I would be in my comments swearing up a storm LOL. Frenchie and Diana have never been the same since we got done with them. Like Cao, I feel a little scarred from those days. If it weren't for you, I think we both would have given this blogging up way back when.
I remember how we rocked with the Terri Schiavo episode and how we all came together. When you got this site set up,I recall some of the trouble you had with it LOL.
Like Kender says...you have a way of bringing issues to light in a manner that makes sense. You're very talented with words and we all appreciate that.
I'm honored to have been a part of those days when we all first came together. We're all still together in the same battles, and I'm grateful that you and I have been able to stay friends through the tough times.

Excellent post. I don't think people are taking this as seriously as we should. I'm not sure the Asian's have a complete grip of this either. It's scary...if they can't control this, it's gonna spread like wildfire.

I don't think I misunderstood this post Rick, not at all. And I wouldn't re-write this...it makes a good point.
Everyone is different and that's a good thing. Like I said..I can turn off the language when I need to. Just a like a faucet. I think I tend to be more "mouthy" around those I am comfortable with. But when I need to make an important point, I can write and speak without the distraction of foul words and gesture. LOL
