It's so sad that people are not being educated about the true conditions being written about. It is also sad that this culture of death is being embraced by so many. Is it about people wanting to control their own destiny? If so, why control the destiny of another human being?? If this keeps up, there won't be any humans left because in the end we ALL have some sort of problem- health related or not. We ALL experience pain and suffering at different times in our lives. I hate to think that someone could chose my destiny just because I wasn't getting proper medical care; this case proves to me beyond ANY doubt that the medical community has failed it's patients.

IN THE END, IT'S ABOUT EMPATHY
Wow...At first I was all upset about this issue too- swimming with the tide of reaction that we are seeing. But as I have thought about it, and remembering the American flag burning images and all that, I decided that the Muslims are right to be upset. Some of them are over-reacting,for sure. I overreacted the other day when I joined the DANES ROCK mindset...Now I regret that. It pays to sit back and watch how things pan out, hold back judgement until things either simmer down or boil over.

It's not just phone calls...it's email, it's Yahoo groups and similar places. It's Instant Messengers too.

I fully support these actions as I have nothing to hide. I would MUCH rather give up my civil "right" to a phone call being between me and whoever, vs. seeing thousands of people get killed because the LIBERALS freaked out over silly semantics of these laws and rules and whatever. They are making a mountain out of much needed anthole. Talk about being progressive?? The Democrats are anything BUT. They have a habit of living in the 90's still. (And some chose to live in the 60's as well). This is a new war, a new enemy. We need news ways to fight this. Get with the modern times and see the threat for what it is.
I read this NW article a little while ago and looked to see if anyone else had blogged about it...You're the first that I see...and this is totally out of line.
I will fight this, so will many millions who see the actions of this President as being not only necessary and vital, but appropriate for the times. What is baffling to me is this:
Doesn't ANYONE see how some media outlets are USING their own status to change and alter history? THIS is far more dangerous than anything Bush has done. As far as I'm concerned, the NYT needs to be investigated.

Yes...another part to this whole story that pisses me off...a major investigation into who leaked Plame's name...will we see the same with this, which I think had far more serious questions that need answering.

IN DEFENSE OF HILLARY...SORT OF
ROTF Rick...
"Now before many of my right-leaning friends stage an intervention and try to get me to voluntarily commit myself for 6 months of aromatherapy...." hehe that's great.I was surprised to hear Hillary's remarks about all this. She didn't join the bandwagon of dipwits on the left...she stood on ground that might make her unpopular with some of those folks. I have to respect that. While I don't trust her motives and dread the thought of her becoming the next POTUS, I need to start keeping track of what she's saying. So one day I can hold her accountable (yeah right) for her action.

I didn't see the speech...was held up LOL...so this is the first really good honest review I have read so far.

I think you're right Rick...from the sounds of it, a great speech with no audience who wants to hear just words. I wonder if it would be different if he spoke at night vs. the middle of the day??
BEHIND CLOSED DOORS: AMATEUR HOUR FOR SENATE DEMS
LOL as I read this Rick I thought of that song by Pink Floyd..."The Show Must Go On" from the album THE WALL.
It is nothing but a show...Harry Ried being the lead actor, if he even rates that title.
