Obama hasn't killed it, yet, but he's well on the way.
As for what kind of people we are, we are NOT the same people you describe above. If we were, we would not have elected this fraud. We're a people, one half of which feels that citizenship is not worth paying any income tax for. We're a people who became a hyphenated people, without complaint. We're a people who are more than willing to let someone else make our shit for us, to sell our future for another nine dollar t-shirt, and just leave me alone, thank you. We are a different people and the rest of the world is starting to find out about it. That's why the Indian Govt., our "ally" in Asia now calls for a new world currency. If they thought the American people were the same as the one you remember, they'd be betting on us in the future.
Obama is just the instrument and we've just given him the sacrificial blade.

Why a war? They're both right. We can't save our country by being Them-Lite, Rush is right about that. Nobody expects to dismantle the things that can't be dismantled, but getting them to work, minimizing them, reducing people's dependency...both Rush and Newt would agree there. Rush's point is that the Republican Party is not the point...America is the point. Damn the Republicans if they can't save America. Newt says the same, and calls for extension beyond the Republicans... There it is...let's get anybody who wants to save America and save it. Those that want to play the same old game, changing sides on the court from time to time, well count me out. I'm taking my ball and going home, or to play with someone who wants to play the game I want. Saving America. It's the only game worth the time.

I'm with Hyman Roth. The responsibility for what comes next must be fixed with the perps. History is a long time, and America won't survive in the form we've loved unless we continue to fight for that America...not for any party or any President. An Obama rule will be transformative...and we'll never get America back if we allow him to succeed. I'll fight till I have no breath.

What's to not understand? Blacks aren't stupid, just because they're Republicans. They know this isn't the time to be a Pubby...who needs to run and lose?
There are plenty of strong potential black candidates who'd appeal to most decent people, but this year is NOT the time to waste your time.

We don't have to kill them ALL....just the ones that are trying to kill us....and any who help them. The rest are not our problem....they're THEIR problem. But we do have to kill some of them....a lot of them...more of them than we can stomach....and we have to start where they are threatening us. The fight will be in the streets of London not just Damascus and Beirut.
Send them home, and those who won't leave and choose to fight, that's the choice they'll have to make, but we must make them choose, and now.
"If we can ever penetrate the propaganda, the lies, and the hate generated by Islam’s leaders against the West and prove by example that our beliefs are as powerful as theirs, the tide will begin to turn" is a feelgood hope, and may occur in another thousand years...if we live that long.
