I think the real reason those pseudo-moralist conservatives were up in arms over Miers is that she thought that Bush was some sort of freaking genius. Now I'll admit that you need to deceive yourself about a lot of things to be a modern conservative, but that was one step too far for poor Harriet. So those people she thought were her friends set upon her and gleefully hacked her to death on the White House lawn. Such is the state of conservatism today!

All you so-called “conservatives†surely know that they don’t come much more conservative than the Cato Institute, at least on fiscal policy. Well the Cato Institute has concluded that George W. Bush and the Republican Congressional Majority has been viciously screwing you, me and every other ordinary American. Don’t take my word for it, read the article yourself, if you have the stomach for it.

Do you have any plans to extend this timeline to cover the following/coming week? I know today was an eventful day at least with Bush's return, the restoration of a pump station, the completion of the levee plug, and the beginning of pumping from the 17th street canal breech. I liked the info I saw though, even if you don't extend the time-line, great work.
