Actually, the excellent biography of George Washington by James Thomas Flexner called "Washington: The Indispensable Man" was adapted for TV a number of years ago. Called simply "George Washington," it starred the guy who played the dimwitted mayor on Spin City as George Washington, and he was actaully very good as Washington.

Ramos' immigration status isn't really relevant to this tragedy. If he had been a legal citizen, would it have made the tragedy less so? I don't think so. What's important here is that two girls were killed by a drunk driver. This isn't an immigration issue by a long shot. Plenty of God-fearing, flag waving folks drive while drunk and commit similar offenses. Milking this emotionally charged and very sad event as an immigration issue is dishonest. (Though, for O'Rielly, no big surprise.) Is it a more serious offense to drive under the influence if you are a citizen or if you aren't? His argument is terribly flawed and needlessly emotionally charged.

as far as flypaper goes you can't get much more callous than than that statement, kill them over there eh! if anybody thinks that bush can bring real democracy to iraq they are nuts. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN and once the troops leave even in twenty years the place will fall into civil war, name a occupying nation that still governs over a occupied nation. it has never happened.
the best solution is to get cheney, bush etal before a war crimes tribunal. it is the only logical choice left, they invaded for oil and to bring profits for halliburton and they lied about thier reasons and covered up thier true motives to kill american kids.
As this is one of the very few rightwing nut job sites that allow comments i feel almost as if i should be kind so as not to cause the blog writer to shut off comments but what the hell, you guys are enabling perversion and are portraying yourselves as truly frightening hypocrites.

Oh, really, this obsession with 'the French' is ridiculous, and Bolton really couldnt finess a dead hamster.
Betrayal? They offered help in police training and reconstruction after the iraq invasion. They were told to bugger off. French special forces are in Afganistan, taking casualties like everyone. A major center for Counterterrorism, set up with the UK and the US, is situated in France.
If for once, the US government listened to the countries that actually understand whats going on in the Middle East, it wouldnt be in the sorry state it is today.
Blaming the French goverment of the general mess today seems to be a handy scapegoat for US goverment incompetence.
Blaming the French for general geopolitics is ridiculous, as blaming an American for the state of the world.
