ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I agree with Rick Moran on this. To attack something a candidate wrote in a work of fiction is know-nothingism at its worst. It is both cynical and stupid.

Rush Limbaugh is gleefully defending Allen's attack, which to me is worse than what he said about Michael J. Fox.

CIA PLOT TO DESTROY THE MOONBATS

Rick Moran, the only problem with your satirical suggestion that the CIA is behind this is that we have seen the CIA try to undermine Bush with Joseph Wilson's tea-sipping trip to Niger. The CIA is full of Kossacks. Why would they try to make the left look bad?

IRAQ'S MILITIAS BECOMING AS DANGEROUS TO STABILITY AS THE INSURGENCY

It's too bad Patrick Fitzgerald didn't spend the last two years in Baghdad examining documents instead of trying to catch administration officials in contradictions about a non-criminal leak.

TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE

Didn't Bush learn anything from the Clinton administration? Clinton had a permanent war room set up to provide immediate response to any criticism. Look at Kerry and the Swift Boat Vets; Kerry dithered and allowed himself to be defined by them. In politics you have to put out a counter-definition immediately.

MORE SHAMELESS PURLOINING OF BLOG POST IDEAS

Hugh Hewitt thinks too much like a political operative and not enough like a conservative philosopher. His show is dedicated not to the pursuit of the truth, but to advancing the Republican Party; there is a difference. His rare criticisms of Bush exist only to give him something to point to when he receives criticism like this.

I once heard Hewitt berate a caller for going off message. The caller was a Republican with some gripe about Bush's policies. Hugh cut him off, saying something like, "This is your chance to talk to millions of people and you're wasting your precious seconds going after Bush?"

Hewitt is intelligent and nice and he's not a screamer like Savage, but he's too much the spinmeister.
