CONFESSION: I HATE DEMOCRACY

There was no tax on income until Woodrow Wilson was President. If these tax loving folks love "democracy" so much why don't they explain why the Founders of our democracy did NOT call for a tax on income in the Constitution. And, by the way, while the federal income tax happened on Wilson's watch it was urged (read:demanded) by the "progressive" Republican Teddy Roosevelt.

MOORER-RADFORD AND A POSSIBLE DEEP THROAT CONNECTION

from ChgoTrib story:
In a meeting a day earlier, on May 11, 1973, Haig and Nixon expressed their frustration over their conviction that Felt had leaked damaging information but were wary of removing him from office.
"We've got to be careful as to when to cut his nuts off," Haig told the president. Nixon responded, "He's bad."

Interesting story in Chgo Trib this morning that looks at the tape transcripts... especially a meeting where Haig tells Nixon, regarding Felt, that they need to "cut his nuts off."

WHO IS DEEP THROAT #2?

Rick writes:"He was an average politician, personally unpopular even with conservatives." He was unpopular with conservatives because he wasn't one. He used to ask Buchanan, "What do they want." The "they" being conservatives. They try to lump Nixon in with the Conservative movement to discredit the same-- but those of us who were active then NEVER saw Nixon as even remotely a conservative.
