THE MIND BLOGGLING CONSEQUENCES OF BUSH DERANGEMENT SYNDROME

I also have wondered about the irrational hatred, disrespect and contempt directed towards the President. Even before he was elected the first time, he was portrayed in the cartoons as a monkey. A chimp. Something sub-human. It's almost supernatural the way some folks literally hate Bush. I stumbled onto the Democratic Underground website once, and the pornographic and vile hatred exposed there shocked and scared me. Are those people my neighbors? Are they the younger generation? What madness caused a respected news anchor try to destroy Bush with fake documents? Is this kind of irrational hatred the result of removing God from the public schools? Is Satan influencing these people? Has God hardened their hearts? As a Bible believing Christian, both of those last two questions are plausible to me. Others may find THAT irrational. I just know that most of the same folks that hate Bush, lift up and praise Castro, and Che Guevera and Ward Churchill etc etc etc. Right is wrong, up is down, and good and bad have been confused somehow. Something is going on.

MY OBLIGATORY RESPONSE TO THE PRESIDENT'S IMMIGRATION SPEECH

All the fury going around in the righty blogs reminded me of the Harriet Myers episode. There seemed to be alot of scorn and contempt directed towards Bush and Myers then. Today I saw President Bush referred to as "El Presidente". I find that hateful and hurtful. He may show (obviously way too much for some) an abundance of compassion and mercy towards the immigrants here illegally, but I believe his first priority is to protect America. He has never given us any reason to believe otherwise and on many occasions he has been villified for the efforts he made in that goal. All the energy directed at President Bush should probably be directed towards your LOCAL representatives on both sides of the issue.

CIA VS. THE WHITE HOUSE: McCARTHY AND THE DC REVOLVING DOOR

The folks at the EU are no friends of America, and they can't find proof of these bases. Could this whole thing really have been a big sting set up by Porter Goss to find the leaker? I read that somewhere on the internet. Ha Ha

ARE YOU "OVER" 9/11 YET?

Gee Paddy,...get up on the wrong side of the bed today? All the invective and hate oozing from you won't make your ideas and opinions seem reasonable to anyone. But that really wasn't the point anyway was it? You just needed to vent a bit.

"STAY AT HOME" REPUBLICANS

Maybe if we all go to the courthouse and change our party affiliation, the message we're trying to send may make some impact.....Or not.

I too am frustated with the GOP, but I haven't contemplated not voting or voting Dem/Indie. I believe that would be ceding victory to the other side, and I just don't trust them to do any better than the GOP. I sincerely believe they would worsen things for us. However, I am ready to march down to the county courthouse and change my party affiliation from Republican to Independent, depending on the Immigration bill results. And as for giving money to the GOP, that will have to wait until I see some sort of change going on, or things start to look REALLY fatal for us in November. I believe this country needs the President to have majority support in Congress, even if some of them don't act like the majority on occasion. Our country's security is too precarious to turn over to the Dems at this point in history.

MATT STOELLER BRAVELY STICKS HIS TONGUE OUT AT THE RIGHT

I guess the bloggers have about the same sort of "right/wrong" track record that the print media (NYT-nuff said), the Networks (CBS/Rather), or cable news (CNN Eason Jordan have. For a few examples. We just have to be discerning enough to tell the right and true from the crap. And if we're here at this site, we're smart enough to tell the difference, don't you think?

BEYOND SCANDALOUS: MIND BOGGLING CORRUPTION IN THE RECONSTRUCTION OF IRAQ

WOW, the comments today sure seem awfully angry, and well... "KOS" sounding. Let's not condem a whole administration or imply President Bush knew, planned for, and approved the corruption mentioned in this article. That would be extreme and hateful and so unlike this website. As for Iraq being worse off, tell that to the women victimized in the "rape rooms". Or the families of the men fed into the wood chippers. Or the families of the KURDS gassed to death by Sadam. Things are tough, sure, but progress is being made. Three years isn't that long, considering that we have been warned repeatedly thst it would be a long hard slog. Buck up friends!

ANY PORT IN A STORM...EXCEPT THIS ONE

Oh Right....I'm supposed to believe that suddenly George Bush, C. Rice, D. Runsfeld and Chertoff have gone wobbley on terror, and thrown over the security of the American public for $$. Sorry, but I'm not buying it. I trust George Bush to try to protect the citizens of this nation more than any other politician. He has stated that effort to be his number one priority, and there's NO evidence that he changed his mind about it. We tell the Mulsim world at large that we're not against all Arabs or Muslims, but then the "freaked out" reaction to this deal, without all the facts being known, points to just the opposite. This deal was vented at the highest levels, and with the Presidents threat to veto any bill Congress may do to disrupt or end this action, shows that Bush really believes in it. Trust him.

THE GANG THAT COULDN'T SHOOT STRAIGHT

I'm having a hard time understanding the fury over the reporting of this incident. If the accident happened at 5:30 on Saturday night, and was then reported on Sunday morning, is all this fuss really over 12 to 14 hours delay? Or is it really about the MSM "feeling" scooped and left out? If Cheney had killed the guy, or been at fault, maybe that would have been different. I just don't get it.
