Superb analysis. I still think the big losers will be the mainstream print publications. I really wish someone would investigate the various publications numbers used by the print media to set add rates. I have worked with the retail food industry (grocery stores)and know that the sales figures from the stores (and from newspaper vending machines) are a joke. Many of these newsprint deliveries end up in the dumpster and the stores are paid as if they are sold. Why? The print publishers don't care about retail sales dollars, they care about ad dollars which are driven by total distribution numbers--of which retail sales account for significant portion. Simply speaking, The print guys are padding thier numbers, and not insignificantly.
