When you hit the part about the knock-down fight between Mr. Adams and Mr. Ruttledge, I kept expecting to see a comment along the lines of "and then Mr. Ruttledge burst into song, with a melancholy ballad about the Triangle Trade he calls 'Molasses to Rum.'"
