I don't get that base thing either. It's sort of a "cue the ominous music" thing, then bring a Democrat out on stage to say, in hushed tones: "they're building permanent bases."

Last time everyone went into a collective depressed funk (prior to the first election if I recall), things improved shortly thereafter. I'll be looking foward to similar happenings this time around.

Many on the left, today, think of America just as the propagandists described it in Hungary way back then: "They had been told that America was an evil place full of grasping capitalists and slavemasters who used workers to enrich themselves while keeping them in abject poverty."

You're right about the commercials Sue, but that does make it that much more amazing at how much they can cram in around them!
I gotta admit too, it was fairly weird to see former President Palmer in the "Unit" last week (and tonight, great show so far) and also pitching Allstate insurance in the ads on same.

Hmm, Jenny didn't rob him after he wouldn't give the money, that was the plan all along as witnessed by her "boyfriend" opening the wallet to ensure he had secured the CTU card, then pocketing the wallet in toto instead of dropping it and running with just the cash.

I don't necessarily agree that they scored more points today, but they certainly were calmer than they were last week with Alito. Kennedy even apologized for being absent to attend asbestos talks (the same talks that weren't as important as stopping Alito, but are now more important than "stopping the growing Bush dictatorship").
But let's say they are ahead and remain ahead on points, there's still that TKO at the end -- currently manifesting itself in the torching of foreign embassies and burning of Danish flags; is there anyone here watching that doesn't see the Stars and Stripes in those red and white Danish flames?
