I'll go a step further on the thought of the terrorist knew we were tracking their financial transactions. No, they only knew we wanted to track finances, but they believed the Europeans wouldn't help the U.S. If they KNEW we were getting help in tracking the transactions they would not have used those institutions.

They may not have a goose or gander, but they sure have a lot of chickens. Last time I was there, it seemed like the country was overrun by wild chickens.
How stupid are they to actually think we would bother putting a guy in the stands to hold a sign. There are enough angry Cuban exiles more than willing to protest Castro at any opportunity. No encouragement necessary.

I think Kevin at Wizbang is attacking the wrong end of this problem. The length of the term is not the problem. I think the limiting of presidents to two terms creates the lame duck status and increases the likelyhood of second term problems. Don't get me wrong, I don't want 3 and 4 term presidents but rather believe that choice should be left to voters.

If Rove was the real leak, Judith Miller wouldn't still be sitting in jail. She would have said "Yep, he told me too." Rove signed a document releasing all reporters from any confidentiality agreements.
Personally, I think Miller is embarrassed to admit that her source was Heywood Jablome.

BLOOD IS THICKER THAN POLITICS
Sorry some folks thought it appropriate to slam your brother because of the profession he is in. Those of us on the right have become so used to a hostile press that sometimes we get confused an assume all are like the worst of the lot. Generalizations, whether about race, religion or even occupation, are not always accurate. Beyond all that, your brother was very careful not to betray his political leanings which I thought was appropriate. He should not have to tell me (or anyone else) who he voted for in order to be trusted to present the news honestly. Stick with family. They will still be family long after we've forgotten today's political arguments.
