CIA VS. THE WHITE HOUSE: PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION

There isn’t a conspiracy in this event. However, there are a number of coincidences that should make people pay attention.

The Pulitzer Prize story was based upon a non-event put out by the CIA to find out who might be leaking. They found one leaker and this might slow down others. The NY Times indicates that the CIA leakers find it unfair that Libby can leak but they can’t.

In this case we found the leaker to be a Dem supporter. This leads us to the Culture of Corruption in the Dem party.

The Times tells us the leaker was well known as being CIA thus putting pressure on the Plame case.

What we must be careful of is the type of intelligence that we are getting. Instead of an independent agency, we have one that may want to play politics over national security. Conspiracy? Nope, just people being people.

THINGS I REALLY HATE: VOL. II, PART 4

Rick, say it ain't so! You take your time (no knee-jerk) and think (don't follow the leader) before you write. You were so close to becoming an Independent.

Does this mean that the president has to apologize for Iraq? NSA? The NYT? Getting elected?

I guess that you simply “grew” while writing.

A STUDIED INDIFFERENCE TO THE FACTS

Rick

One reason the security report may have over-emphasized the UN's contribution to reduction in conflicts around the world may be found in the bio of the report's author:Andrew Mack

'...Professor Andrew Mack is the Director of the Human Security Centre...[snip] and spent two and a half years as the Director of Strategic Planning in the Executive Office of Secretary-General Kofi Annan at the United Nations (1998 – 2001)...
