PHOENIX RISING

I didn't see most of the game - I don't have a t.v. so I listened to it on WBBM. Listening to football on the radio is underrated. It isn't as good as actually watching the game of course, but it has a certain throwback romantic appeal that I like. And the Chicago Cardinals play second fiddle yet again.

Wow, what a game!

SOME MOUSE DROPPINGS WITH YOUR LATTE, SIR?

Day old, pitch black coffee with the consistency of used motor oil works for me too.

I never met a cup of coffee (or its derivatives, espresso etc.) I didn't like.

STILL MISSING THE BIG ONE

The CIA is an organization that once employed Larry Johnson as an analyst.

That should tell you all you need to know about why they get so much so very wrong.

JULY 1, 1863

Those rebs came to Gettysburg to find shoes, and they found a fight instead!

Buford is the hero of the battle I think - he remembered too many battles like Fredericksburg where the Union got slaughtered trying to slog uphill. Time to make the rebels do that, for once.

DEMOCRATS GO OUT WITH A WHIMPER ON IRAQ

Poor Joe Lieberman.

All he needed to do was hire Jerome Armstrong before Kos found Ned Lamont, and everything would have been wine and roses.

And it would have even spared Kos from that Mentos commercial.
