Rick - you need to stay away from the leftist blogs. Remember when you read thought Bush was going to be charged with obstruction of justice and perjury by Fitzgerald for something or other. Calm down.
This order clarifies and give options to the Bush Administration to deal with these dangerous detainees.
How ironic if Bush escaped the executioner on Plame only to fame him on GITMO.

Wasn't aware of the anticipation in both North and South of the coming battle. Interesting. Gettysburg is one of my favorite places, was tempted to stop by this weekend but imagine it's crowded with tourists. Lovely place.

Rick: this is discouraging, but it can be countered. President Bush could give an address and suggest that the best thing we all can do is wait for the official report. He can suggest that innunendo and baseless charges hurt the war effort and the morale of our troops and our nation.
He can tactfully remind the American people of the media's track record in covering events, the 10,000 dead and babies being raped during Katrina for example.
I think he could put the media on the defensive or at least force them to be more responsible. He could but he won't. And that is something I don't understand, can someone help me.

Rick, thanks for the clarification. I'm not convinced Rove will be indicted, but I agree with you regarding Fitzgerald. He might go for it despite a weak case.

I don't know, Rick, you seem a little too enthusiastic anticipating the demise of the "evil one". Ah, and I see we have another Friday indictment of Rove...about the 20th.
Rove may be indicted but you may want to look at the merits of the case, the possible backlash, and the future of Special Prosecutors. The White House gave Fitzgerald total cooperation and access. The result a bungled investigation that did not even determine early on if there was a crime.
I guess I should be happy that you are off the Bush obstruction/perjury kick of several weeks ago.
