THINGS AREN'T SO PEACHY FOR OUR ENEMIES EITHER

Enjoyed the article, but must disagree about China helping the U.S. to keep the genie in the bottle.

As each month passes, it becomes more clear that China is in league with Iran by running cover for them at the U.N. and turning a blind eye to N. Korea and others helping Iran develop a nuke and delivery system.

I imagine that China is doing so to insure a steady and increasing supply of oil. Plus, if an Iranian ally controls a Persian "Lake" and 40% of the world's oil, China can call on Iran to cut off (or threaten to) the supply of oil to the U.S. and the West when China decides to go for Taiwan.

Apparently, China's insular view of Islam's desire to subjegate the entire world keeps China from realizing that one day Iran will come for them.

ALL YOUR SMOKING ARE BELONG TO US

Given that elected officials in San Francisco are trying to expand the rules permitting marijuana use at the same time the folks in Belmont are attempting to ban cigarette smoking, you have to wonder whether or not these people are truly concerned about the effects of second-hand smoke, or simply don't like the type of second-hand smoke they're inhaling (or the fact that cigarettes are produced by big, evil corporations, while pot comes from the cool guy down the street they bought off of starting sometime in the mid-1960s).

BUGGIN' OUT

Iraq is just such a mess right now. Im not sure whats the best answer and i dont think anyone including our Government knows what to do. Bush is taking the right approach by wanting to try other things. I think it all boils down to Almaliki. I think that Iran is pulling the puppet strings of those Shia militas and AlSadr wants to have a Hezbollah type thing in Iraq and hes got the prime minister scared because there is so much influence in the parliment from AlSadr. You cant make people fight for thier freedom. At some point you gotta tell them "Look if you want this you gotta fight but were not gonna spill our blood for you any longer"

A RELUCTANT APPEAL FOR FUNDS

I'm sorry I couldn't contribute this time. I will try to do so in the future. I think you do a terrific job!

SHOULD CONDI RICE RESIGN?

Condi and Olmert must go! They should join the beauraucrats at the U.N. or the Hague. That's where they belong. And it's time we kicked the U.N. out of New York and stopped paying dues. It's nothing other than a front for the terrorists. TIME TO TAKE THE GLOVES OFF.

IDF, OLMERT AT LOGGERHEADS; BUSH FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT

Olmert sounds like a timid political hack. His ditching of the airborne flanking maneuver in favor of a limited ground assault and airstrikes is reminiscent of the way Clinton approached his fight against terrorists: lobbing a few Tomahawks and calling it quits. I predict that one consequence of the political fallout will be the replacement of Olmert's government with one that is more hawkish. I like Netenyahu as his replacement.

And, although I suppose it is commonplace, the political knife-fighting over blame is during this kind of crisis is disgraceful.

THE REAL THING

The Brits did a great job on this and deserve a ton of credit.

I agree with you Rick. It is shameful that the MSM is so mealy-mouthed in describing our enemies. This is a war against Islamofascists, plain and simple. That doesn't mean that every Muslim person is the enemy, but there is certainly a culture of hate and death that permeates radical Islam that must be understood to be defeated. And it can't be understood unless we use language honestly in describing it. It's a good thing the allied media wasn't like this in WWII.

THE OLD WISE MAN AND THE NUTCASE

As I have thought for a while now, it is time for individuals to get serious about disaster preparation in the U.S. If you thought the government's response to Katrina was incompetent, just wait until (god forbid) a WMD goes off in an American city. It will be utter chaos for a period of several days. People in the surrounding areas who survive need to be prepared to get out of Dodge FAST, and be able to feed, shelter, and protect themselves for a substantial period of time until the beauracrats figure out left from right and respond with some degree of effectiveness (if they can do so at all).

FRANCE SURRENDERS: ISRAEL TO FIGHT ON

Breaking news on Foxnews.com, apparently Hezbollah is calling for the deployment of Lebanese regulars to the border:

I think Hezbollah is starting to realize that Israel is about to get serious.
