SUCCESS IN A VACUUM

What the blind neo-cons on this site don't realize is :you can train Iraqis till your blue in the face, their loyalty to the Maliki government will be iffy at best. Rick gets it people, the military can't solve political problems. Keeping US troops there is just a holding pattern now. Bush is too stubborn to see his follies there. Only the 08 election coming up changes the GOP senators views. Bush can veto all he wants, soon there will be a veto proof majority slapping him down. The Democrats have been way ahead of the curve on the fiasco in Iraq, finally the GOP is starting to get it. Thank you Dick Lugar

OF GRASSY KNOLLS AND BLOOD FOR OIL

everything Grognard said, I second. The hard core conservatives have made a cottage industry out of ripping "the left" ( or anybody who doesn't worship Bush)I don't know what scares me worse, radical Islam or radical neo-cons. Both are nutty and dangerous.I guess I just can't unite with a group that is CONSTANTLY questioning my patriotism. Tell ya what, when the neo-con crowd admits that Iraq was a horrible mistake, I'll think about uniting with them. As a proud Democrat, the Rush Limbaugh wing of the gop is my mortal enemy until the day I die. Bush will burn in Hell!

NETNUTS RIGHTEOUS FURY A LITTLE MISPLACED

Drongo hit the nail on the head. Military leaders have always been judged by their competence. Pace is a empty, stuffed shirt, that basically a yes-man for Rummy. He had no original thoughts, and from what I've read, thats how you climb the ladder in the Bush administration.Because Iraq has become such an unmitigated disaster, the neo-cons have assumed their bunker mentality, which requires them to attack anyone who speaks out against incompetents like Bush, Rummy, and his ventriloquist dummy pace.Politico has become a "Fox News Lite", I take what they report with a huge grain of sand. If the good people of Nevada wish to remove Senator Reid, they can do so with the voting process. The rabid dog neo-cons can cry for his removal till their blue in the face. The hardright elements in this country have become a fringe movement. No one but the Limbaughs and their ilk pay any attention to them. To them Reid's comments were like some battle cry, how pathetic they have become. Bush is a clown, the neo-con movement died in Iraq, along with 3500 of our finest. Pace should be in Leavenworth for his stupidity, or maybe with the traitor Libby.

OLBERMANN: THERE IS NO TERRORISM THREAT, ONLY POLITICS.

Olbermann, probably the brighest man on TV,and whos not afraid to speak truth to power. His ratings are skyrocketing and MSNBC just signed him to a huge contract. He drives the neo-con loons crazy, which I just love. Bush is a moron and Keith will tell people that.Olbermann, John Stewart and Bill Mahrer, the 3 wisemen of tv. Sometimes the truth hurts neo-cons. Why do you think Daily Kos gets 500,000 hit PER DAY! Why did the Dems kick butt in the 06 midterms....hmmmm.

PERSIAN GANGSTERS WILL TRY AMERICAN HOSTAGES FOR ESPIONAGE

I guess its okay for the US to seize Iranians who are the guests of Iraqi politicians in Irbil a while back. Did the idiot Bush think the Iranians wouldn't retaliate. All the neo-cons are itching to fight Iran, although not them or their children personally. Think Iraq has been a hard nut to crack,Iran has 80 million people, and their all as crazy as loons. We cannot change the Middle East, lets just drill for oil in Alaska, pledge to support Israel, and keep a couple of flatops in the Persian Gulf to keep the shipping lanes open.Bush can't secure our borders but has the time and money and blood to democratize Iraq, what a joke he is. By the way Rick, where would we get the troops to take on Iran?

IT'S NOT DEAD. IT'S RESTING.

So the republicans are finally figuring out that Bush is a moron, what was your first clue Sherlock?Read the book "State of Denial" by Bob Woodward, no one could have been more out of touch with conditions on the ground in Iraq than Bush. He freaking ignored the fact that a full blown insurgency was breaking out? Last throes mister dick? Bush and deadeye dick, two clowns.

FRED THOMPSON: THE MAN, THE MOMENT, THE MESS

ole freddie, the great white hope for the gop. When asked on fox news what he'd do about Iraq he said the same thing George Bush is doing, whoa freddie, you just lost 60% of the country. Everyone thinks he's the savior, lets see him on the stump for about 6 months straight. The gop primaries will be total combat, and the dems will be taking notes for their attack ads in the general. So the party without a rudder is going for a tv actor-wow.This should be interesting.

THE ABOMINABLE MR. JOHNSON

You are fair Rick about Libby deserving his jail time, but, Larry might have been wrong about Rove being indicted, but Rick, Rove went to the grand jury 5 times! Does that fact have any relevance to you? Dale In Atlanta is a guy who thinks that anyone who doesn't worship at the altar of GWB and his Iraq War Policy is a weak surrender monkey. I guess than my 84 year old dad, a WW2 vet, who received the Bronze Star for action during the Battle of the Bulge, who thinks the invasion of Iraq was the stupidest thing this country ever did, must be weak according to Dales views. And Dale, I'd put my money on Larry Johnson, any day of the week.

ELITIST SNOB DISSES THE AMERICAN VOTER

Bush imo is the worst president ever, but Rick thinks Gore would have been worse? To be worse Gore would have to sacrifice live babies on national tv all the while praying to satan and flogging himself. Bush is an incompetent boob surrounded by incompetent boobs. How much worse can you get....jeez

REFLECTING ON 230 YEARS OF BLOOD AND SACRIFICE

Our troops are outstanding in Iraq, but that means nothing if the Iraqis can't come together as a nation. Our troops can't force Maliki to compromise.Have we made Iraq a "nanny state"? Eventually we will reach the point of having done everything we can do. Will fighting Al Queda in Iraq make us safer from Al Queda cells in Saudi Arabia,Egypt,Somalia,Indonesia,Germany etc ?Even if the surge works in Baghdad and Al Anbar, what happens in Basra,Mosul,Ramadi,Kirkuk,Najaf, like McCain says, its pop-a-mole. Rick if your going to blame the left, blame the people who said we'd be greeted as liberators, the oil would pay for the reconstruction, etc. The buck stops with Bush, he called the shots,he's to blame, not the left.Iraq is just a permanent occupation of a failed state. It won't get better,it will get much worse.
