A TEA PARTY WALKBACK -- OF SORTS

Tea Parties, some very concerned people, a lot of Anti-Obama people looking for an excuse to bash him. Yet 71% of Americans support Obama's economic policies. Didn't see any minorities at those rallies, coincidence? Lets see if polling shows any big shift in people's party preference. I say no. Obama will cruise in 2012 and the rightwing nuts will have another 4 years to cry.

ENEMIES OF THE STATE

Rick, just today on local talk radio, Wausau,Wis, people were calling in saying that tea parties weren't enough, that outright rebellion was needed. This isn't the first time I've heard these sentiments, and at least the radio host, arch conservative, tried to downplay remarks like these. That is why I'm not surprised with Homeland Security being worried. I'm sure they've heard reports of armed rebellion too. Beck, Limbaugh, Hanitty, keep trying to fan the flames because they hate Obama. Kooks on the right suck up every word of those clowns. The right better tamp it down or innocent people could end up getting hurt.

OBAMA PULLS THE TRIGGER: NOW HOW ABOUT SOME FOLLOW THROUGH?

I predict Obama will follow thru and hit the Somali coastline. Oh, by the way, all Rush and Hanitty did today was badmouth Obama, saying Obama was trying to hog all the credit. Typical of the neocon fringe. Nothing Obama does will ever be good enough in their eyes. Fine. There party can continue to get there asses handed to them in election after election.

STACEY McCAIN ON WHAT AILS THE RIGHT

Intelligent people like Stacy McCain go into their economic philosophies always, failing to realize that the world has changed. Did Milton Friedman comprehend outsourcing jobs, credit-default swaps, bundling mortgage backed securities? Conservatives always seem to stick to outdated philosophies, as the economic and cultural world morph into different entities that Reagan free market ideas can't grasp anymore. No, socialism won't work either, but unfettered free market capitalism is a dinosaur. You don't have to believe me, just look at the electoral blowouts of 2006 and 2008. Plus, I don't see a big gop swell in 2010. The proof (of ideas) is always in the pudding.

LIBERAL BLOGGERS ANGRY THAT THEIR BUTT KISSING ISN'T TURNING INTO AD DOLLARS

Your last paragraph Rick sounds like what rightwing blogs do. For your info Daily Kos ripped Holder and the Obama administration for keeping some of Bush's rulings on illegal wiretaps. Unlike republicans, democrats aren't monolithic.

OBAMA'S FORIEGN APOLOGIES: WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?

Does anyone here think, that when an Al Queda cell in NW Pakistan hears a predator drone, they consider Obama naive?Or that because Bush was a loose cannon, he was tough?Bush basically gave up on diplomacy, because Obama uses it doesn't make him weak, although, rightwing radio today was throwing around the "Neville Chamberlain, appeasement mantra". Always the Nazi's with these people. pathetic

Barry, Obambi....dude I can pick out a rightwing nut from how they refer to PRESIDENT OBAMA. The clever little putdown nicknames are why its hard for me to take these people seriously. They don't want rational give and take, they just want a forum to beat up Obama. But thanks rssg for showing your intellect. Its that kind of wingnuttery that will keep your party in the minority. Thanks Rick for another good article.

PITTSBURG SHOOTER WAS 'ENCOURAGED' BY CONSERVATIVES?

A good, fair article Rick. Theres whackjobs on both sides of the partisan divide, each one trying to be more outrageous than the other. The governments not going to take our guns. Theres no push for this on the Democrat side. If I believed there was I wouldn't vote Democratic. The NRA gins this up to increase membership, and the rightwing talking heads(not you Rick) rail to their masses to help the gop cause.Obama is a hardcore liberal, further to the left than I am, but the choice between Obama vs John McCain and the trainwreck from Alaska was a no-brainer. If the country doesn't like the direction Obama is taking us, the midterms in 2010 will show us.

BLOWHARD NEW YORK TIMES CONTRIBUTOR A PARANOID LOON

Okay Rick, the conservative blogs you picked don't call for revolution, but read the comment section of Hot Air, lots of folks talk about armed revolution. Ed and Allah don't encourage them, but, they don't get warned or banned either. Mr. Blow was wrong with his assumptions that conservative LEADERS are pushing revolution, but readers of conservative blogs, regular readers and commenters are calling for pitchforks and torches.

THE ILLUSION OF OPPORTUNITY

Rick is one of the few republicans who actually speaks the truth on the health of his party. Damn thats refreshing. Most of his party is the Limbaugh, leftwing cretins wing. That's the wing that lost the youth vote, moderates, and independents. Am I satisfied with my Democratic leadership? No, but compared to Palin, Sanford,Joe the plumber, etc, I will continue to pull the lever for Democrats. Where were all the gop fiscal hawks from 2000 to 2006? Only now when their out of power are they concerned with deficits. That is so transparent to us who live in the real world. Thanks Rick for your article, your honesty is why I keep coming back here.
