THE MYSTERY OF CONSCIOUSNESS

"Closer To Truth" is a half-hour of reflection on some aspect of "Cosmos, Consciousness, God" by Robert Lawrence Kuhn that shows on many PBS stations. It is sometimes quite interesting.

MUST IT BE ROMNEY IN 2012?

shorter Cheen: You think Mormons are crazy? What about the folks who believe what's in the Bible?

The problem with that argument is that it IS the folks who believe what's in the Bible who think Mormons are crazy (or worse).

PALIN: THE WAR CONTINUES

Look on the bright side.

The country could now be governed by McCain and Palin. We sure dodged a bullet on that one!

Haha! I rather doubt your know what liberal elites think. Besides they're all idiots, right? I read that here.
Or are they nefarious, evil people devising clever plans to thwart the noble republicans?

We are not even 6 months into this administration. You need to pace yourself. Can you sustain this level of resentment, paranoia, anger, and delusion for three more years? If so, your stomach lining will be much the worse for it.

OF BLOWHARDS AND CHILDREN

You wrote: "...my criticism of the left for their tactics and behavior is, if anything, more hyperbolic, more sarcastically bombastic than almost anything I say about righties. My liberal-bashing credentials are as sound as anyone’s and I defy anyone on the right to say otherwise."

As someone on the left who has repeatedly experienced your bombastic sarcasm, I say "amen". But I am a bit surprised that you would actually write it. Maybe you really did have an epiphany on the road to Damacus.

THE OUTING OF PUBLIUS AND THE COMFORT OF ANONYMITY

It would seem that Mr. Whelan is NOT aware of all internet traditions.

NOTHING MUCH TO SAY ABOUT TILLER'S DEATH

I have to praise Mr. Moran for encapsulating his POV so succinctly. He usually takes about a thousand words to deliver the same old message: someone on the right did a very bad thing but only because the libs screwed up.

Wrong, dimwit. If you can prove I blame liberals for this guy's murder by what I''ve written above, you have powers far beyond those of mortal men. I blame the single issue fanatics on both sides for making this an wedge issue in the first place. That would appear to most logical, reasoned people to exclude most liberals and conservatives.

But then you're a walking talking point so what's the use?

And actually, it's more like two thousand words to make my point but who's counting? Ignoramuses who have the attention span of an amoeba and the brains of a marmoset. After all, what on God's green earth are you doing visiting this site if you complain about the length of my posts? I'm serious. The logic escapes me. You have to be a total, unmitigated idiot to read something that bores you. And if you don't read it but insist on commenting, holy shit! That really is brainless. Commenting on something you haven't bothered to read might be the height of idiocy. And if you did read it and was as bored as you claim to be, you are cow-like in your stupidity if you insist on coming back for more!

Might I suggest you visit Atrios who never blogs anything more than a couple of sentences for each post. That would seem to be a good match for your attention span.

ed.

DEALERGATE: STATISTICAL COINCIDENCE OR POLITICAL BIAS? (IMPORTANT UPDATE BELOW)

So now that this silly story has been debunked, can we get back to the birth certificate?

Oh, and obviously this one gets filed under: Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.
