BUSH SPEECH

I've never liked Bush but I was impressed by his candor and willingness to take responsibility.
Let the 'surge' go on, but if no results are evident in six months let's pull the plug.

DOING SOMETHING RIGHT: THE SOMALI RAID

IRAN HAWKS: SHADOW BOXING WITH REALITY

Great post. As you somewhat obliquely point out, even if we were able to knock over the regime in Iran what guarantee is there that it wouldn't be replaced by something equally reprehensible?
Ledeen and other Neocons are trying to rationalize their failure in Iraq. Kristol wants more troops in Iraq. Ledeen however goes for the gusto: he's arguing for making the war a regional one.

"GOODE" GRIEF! HERE COME DA MOOSLIMS

I'd like to see the Republican party distance itself from this idiot.
IMO this is the result of the hate that Schlussel/Malkin et al whip up.

THE WAR TO EXCEED EXPECTATIONS

“the next phases of Operation Iraqi Freedom could possibly include… a major invasion of Iran..."

Yeah, I can see that happening with the available troops we have.
This reminds me of the arguments forty years ago about attacking Cambodia and Laos. You're bogged down in one war and there's always some idiot whose solution is to make it a bigger war.

IG REPORT ON BERGER'S THEFT AN EYE OPENER

WHAT IRAN WANTS

Harrison:
"Agreed that Russia is something we will have to take care of as soon as possible"

Your arrogance is breathtaking. It's about time people in this country realized that we're not running the show any more. China holds our dollars, Russia, Iran and Venezuela have oil, both China and Russia have veto powers in the U.N... the list goes on.

THE REFUGEE PROBLEM IN IRAQ: BAD TO WORSE

Although we generally are in a weak position to negotiate with Syria and Iran, the refugee issue gives us a little leverage- and should be pursued.

SOY IN THE BOY GIVES HIM CURLS LIKE A GIRL

WND is also the outlet that routinely interviews 'terrorists' in the ME. They perpetuated the 'Terrorists want the Democrats to win' thing back before the elections.

TAKING THE EMPTY SUIT TO THE CLEANERS

It would be nice if the Iraqis could get their act together.
