A DEAD WRONG HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE OF 9/11

This is, I think, the NY Times trying to justify its "balls to the wall" opposition to any and every security measure a Bush administration proposes. Why do I get the feeling that Mr. Ellis 'historical perspective' might be a tad different were a Democratic president proposing the measures?

Nice job, Rick.

HALF A MILLION READERS FOR THE HOUSE!

Outstanding, Rick. Congratulations on your success. And I see by the site counter to my right I appear to be visitor number 500,360, give or take a couple.

Keep up the great writing, and your numbers will only continue to climb.

THEY REALLY DON'T HAVE A CLUE

Here's Harry Belafonte with a new rant spouting the Osama Bin Laden talking points.

A BAD DAY FOR THE AMERICAN LEFT

Outstanding piece. And kudos: you kept both your temper and your sanity in writing it.

TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE

Mryhaf: great point.
Finally a weary Bush has decided to respond. A little like Gary Cooper in High Noon.

He'll need to keep at it, and to be persistent - it won't be easy.

THE "MANY WORLDS" OF CARL LEVIN

There are actually two halves to the argument that Democrats have to present successfully for this to mean anything. They would first have to show that the intelligence was manipulated or ignored by Bush in "misleading" America to war, and they'd have to show that the world would be a better place with Saddam still in power. Good luck on both counts.

AH! TO BE YOUNG, IN LOVE, AND IN PARIS IN THE FALL...

I'm trying to maintain a detached observer status in this dustup. In particular, I'm wondering just how long the French government is going to wring their hands and hope it all ends. Chirac needs to draw a line and stand by it. I just don't think he's capable.

I doubt France will wake up when this is over and place the blame where it belongs – on their own overarching hubris. They’ve been so busy looking down their Gallic noses at the rest of us that they’ve failed to see the wolf standing right in front of them. And now that wolf is through the door and is running wild in the house.

Nicely written.

STUPIDITY, THY NAME IS REID

Right on, brother! And Joe Wilson is still lying, as he did on Larry King last night. Check out the NRO Media Blog.

BEHIND CLOSED DOORS: AMATEUR HOUR FOR SENATE DEMS

A lame stunt, to be sure. I had similar thoughts this afternoon.

But wait, the media will be stirring furiously tomorrow to see if they can force this pot to boil.

IRONY PILED ON TOP OF ABSURDITY IN L'AFFAIRE d'PLAME

Great summary. I've linked to you, but my trackback wouldn't go through. So here it is: Plame Fallout?
