INTELLECTUAL CONSERVATISM ISN'T DEAD: IT'S ON THE MARGIN

I am genuinely disappointed when a so-called conservative attempts to reinforce his creds with someone by dissing that great and good man, George W. Bush! I'm very disappointed that you found it necessary to indulge in BDS! Shame on you.

INTELLECTUAL CONSERVATISM ISN'T DEAD: CHANNEL YOUR INNER ELDER

Clearly, the majority of Americans agree that Olbermann is a raving lunatic and they don't watch his show - which has only exacerbated the situation in his roiling little brain where nonsense instead of genuine thought abounds.

He was a crappy sportscaster and he's a crappy commenter on the news of the day. He's just a crappy human being.

Not that I wish him ill or anything. Just disappearance would suit me! Maybe he could get a job in Upper Volta broadcasting hog futures!

Peggy Noonan has lost her focus in recent years and is no longer even remotely the writer she once was, so I'll dispute your take on her abilities. Thomas Sowell is more to my taste. The man is brilliant and kind at the same time. And then there is Joseph C. Phillips who is down to earth and very clear in his writing.

As to the somewhat offhand dissing of Sarah Palin - the woman may have a way of confounding even her harshest critics! So far she's been doing quite well at that! Don't count her out and don't believe the liberal meme that she isn't very bright. I see sparks of genuine brilliance from time to time in that woman's eyes.

INTELLECTUAL CONSERVATISM ISN'T DEAD: IT'S RESTING

Shakespeare was right about lawyers!

Surely you are aware, Rick, that calling any conservative a RINO is akin to waving a red flag at a bull with a bad attitude! RINO is a dismissive and perjorative term utilized to describe such so-called Republicans as Senators John McCain of Arizona and George Voinovich of Ohio.

I too frequently view Beck as a nut. But even a broken clock can be correct twice daily! And Beck has been right enough that he doesn't deserve to be pilloried and/or discounted quite so glibly! Limbaugh is inaccessible to me since I work in a busy law office and don't have time to listen to his radio show.

In addition, the Left is making much of the fact that we are criticizing Zero loud and long via the Town Hall meetings and the Tea Parties. Under no circumstances can they legitimately claim parity or some sort of moral relevance. They've been noisier and far more disruptive in the past and will, no doubt, be so again in the future. And another very specific comment: conservatives do not advocate the killing of the President, not even this president who is so anathema to us. The Left routinely carried signs advocating the murder of George W. Bush and his entire family. Nice stuff that, don't you think?

This is, as others have said, the most thin-skinned, crybaby administration we've had in my [very long] lifetime! Put on your big boy panties, Mr. President, and start taking some lessons in governing instead of subjecting this nation to your endless and empty-headed campaigning!

I reserve the right to legitimately criticize this president because I believe that he is both dangerously incompetent and so filled with arrogance that he is potentially an horrendous failure for our nation. His antecedents are questionable, his true beliefs amorphous and with all that, I do not for one second want him to fail! As Obama fails, so fails the United States of America. And that, in the end, is unacceptable beyond anything else.

POST HOC CRITICISM OF OBAMA TRIP JUSTIFIED

At least he met with Gen. McKrystal while he was there. The IOC actually made a stupid decision giving the Games to an even more lawless and violent city Rio! But oh those beaches!

DEFENDING POLANSKI: 'IT'S NOT RAPE-RAPE'

Neo, we don't play that "moral equivalency" game here! Polanski is a pervert, pure and simple. He raped a 13-year old girl after first drugging her - and then the s.o.b. took pictures of her. His supporters seem to think that the 41 days he spent in jail are sufficient payment for this egregious violation, despite the fact that the average sentence for a rapist is 288 months in the slammer!

Sure, the man is a genius. But equally sure, whether or not his victim agrees, he must be made to pay for his horrendous actions, if only to discourage other Hollywood perverts from doing likewise. If they won't restrain their baser instincts out of moral beliefs, let them be restrained by fear of being imprisoned where they will become Bubba's bitch for however long they are incarcerated - if they get off that easy!

BIBI'S MAGNIFICENT UN SPEECH

More Richard Bottoms too!

The vaunted rhetoric of BHO is becoming ever more tedious, the more often he subjects us to his babbling inanities.

Now we can easily see the difference between our juvenile naif of a president and a real leader!

And we've gotta live with this poor excuse for a president for another 3 years. Dear merciful heavens.

GET READY FOR 'HOUSING MELTDOWN: THE SEQUEL'

Hell's bells Rick - they could have PAID OFF those houses for the amount of moola they spent! The problem is the usual one - the government is piss poor at doing anything that requires a head for economics or business. They just suck at it. This is why I don't trust them on health care reform (that and the fact that I'm 67 years old and don't care to compliantly die just to save the guvmint money!)

I work in D.C. and I have to tell you things are just screwed up beyond belief around here. Never ever should anyone let Dems attempt to run anything!
