True conservatism is encouraging the LEAST amount of governmental interference in the lives of the nation's citizens and understanding that we, the People, still run the show - not those jumped up arrogant poseurs in D.C.! Thus, the tea parties. Thus, the conservatives disgust with that unprincipled bastard Spector. Karma is wondrous. Not only will he not win his re-election campaign as a Democrat, but someone more nearly representing the people who elected Spector expecting him to be a somewhat Republican Senator will take the office. Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

THE MORAL PARAMETERS OF TORTURE
One would have to decide first of all if, in fact, waterboarding or sleep deprivation or making someone uncomfortable can really be classified as torture. I have no doubt that a hangnail would be considered by some liberals - as a violent affront to their persons. But I come from sterner stuff and would consider that hangnail to just be the cost of my relentless pursuit of chewing my cuticles off my fingers!
I wish that the liberals who are making such a big freaking deal about so-called torture, and I don't agree that waterboarding can rightly be considered as such, are also completely cool with the idea of murdering an infant in its mother's womb because she finds her pregnancy inconvenient! Granted that's moral relativism but it's used endlessly by the Left so I'm taking my shot!

I love how liberals have been protesting, violently, for the last 50 years and we are supposed to view them as freedom fighters. The conservatives want to protest once, and all of a sudden we are terrorists to the state. The president refuses to call radical Islamists who blow themselves up terrorists, but now people who want the constitution upheld are terrorists. I thought that Hillary said that it was patriotic to voice your opinion against the government. What happened to that? It's patriotic to voice dissent against a republican, but to do so against a socialist, er a democrat makes you a terrorist. People need to wake up and watch the "change" we are getting. This is the most thin-skinned, idiotic bunch of whiney brats to hold public office I have ever observed in my fairly long lifetime! And the most destructive!

The Beckian Wing of Conservatism
As to dogs and cats living together in harmony - my sister's bluepoint Siamese and her pit bull are the best of buddies sleeping curled up together and the Siamese (an imperious breed at the best of times) ordering the pit bull around! It's the most hilarious and delightful sight you've ever seen. Now Sam the Wonder Cat doesn't like d-0-g-s one little bit, but then when I rescued him he was a street kitty and had suffered more than one injury at the hands of the canine persuasion (and vicious humans as well). That Sam is willing to trust any of our tribe at all, let alone love one of them - is one of the miracles of life! I am honored to be his human!
Sam is one lucky kitty. Anyone who has the perspicacity to turn off Beck deserves all the loving a feline companion can give.

Since I am mired on Southbound I-95 at the time Beck comes on my local Fox cable channel, I set my DVR (one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century) to record his show every night. I found it unwatchable. I don't think screaming doom and gloom at the top of one's lungs is productive of anything other than the listener being thoroughly dismayed and disgusted and unwilling to give the man's sometimes very valid points any credance! So I'm not recording Beck any longer! I have better ways to waste my time. Sam the Wonder Cat gets his supper a few minutes earlier and a few more chin scritches! Everyone at my house is happy, happy, happy!

Apparently the clueless infant President Obama doesn't know or remember that this "wretchedly derisive country" of ours has TWICE in the 20th century saved the bacon of those ingrates in France and we've helped rebuild several nations that were destroyed in the course of wars that were born on European soil. So I wouldn't be all that quick to apologize to those snooty European clowns who are benefitting greatly from the American blood spilled in their defense! Another example of our President's ignorance of history!

The vast majority of Americans are too busy trying to keep a roof over their heads and food on their tables to pay attention fully to what that s.o.b. in Washington is pulling in his heavy-handed authoritarian march to full rule over their lives. Those of us who do pay attention are horrified at the erosion of our Constitutional Rights and are preparing to do something about it. What about the Tea Parties planned for April 15th around the country? Granted the Mainstream Loons won't cover it but somehow news will be getting out that there are Americans who are lovers of their freedoms and rights as given them - not by Obama and the Dems but by God. He will not be mocked and these Leftwing cretins are busy doing so.

What is going to really set off the flyover country residents is Organizing for America - a new campaign by Obama seeking individual Americans to pledge to support the President's left wing agenda. In the course of that door-to-door campaign, the volunteers will be collecting information about you as well as asking you to then ask your neighbors to join in.
