IS A REPUBLICAN COMEBACK IN THE CARDS?
The polls were wrong in 2002 and 2004. They have done nothing to correct the problems that they identified for the discrepcancies after both elections and the distortions have brobably grown further as people shift away from being contactable by conventional ways.
The polls will be wrong again for this election. Both houses will remain Republican (and if they don't it will give the Dems just enough time to screw things up in the House to kill any chance that any Democrat will have in getting into the White House in 08.)

Isn't the rumor that there are truckloads of Saddam's WMDs buried in the Bekaa?
Just imagine the kaos back here if the mother-load were found just before the midterm elections....

Does Kofi really think that middle America's opinion of the UN would improve if they knew more about what the UN was up to?
There is a reason that the UN is located in NY and not middle America. Out there I would think that the locals only tolerate bull cr*p that comes from animals. Imagine a UN member caught in a criminal act explaining to the 'locals' that it's ok because he has Diplomatic immunity!
Bolton should push harder. The UN operates based on balance of power. Unfortunately, that means bad countries persist because the UN resists efforts to reform those members.

WHY DOES THE CONSPIRACY HAVE TO BE SO COMPLICATED????
Why can't some lone government agent install a remote control unit on the plane and take it over while in flight while at the same time turning off the communication from the craft. Simple. No need to hide the real plane and dispose of a plane full of passengers. Better yet, how about loading the plane with cargo that is really high explosives. This way you don't have to plant the stuff all around the Twin Towers.
Have these people ever been inside the buildings? Just how were they able to get into DOZENS of offices and manage to hide tons of explosives without anyone noticing.
If you believe that the US did this, then you better go into hiding, because they will come after you, because your a threat to their Grand Plan and therefore a target. If they are willing to kill thousands, killing you is nothing to them.

While it is interesting to see these people interact on the internet, it is another ting entirely to interact with one up close. I had recently met a person I know over in Europe. Somehow the topic turned to 9/11 and the 'fact' that 'the Pentagon was hit by missile.' After about ten minutes of punching holes in the whole story by reasoned discussion he admitted that he needed to rethink the whole situation.
The 9/11 conspiracy theory infects the majority of the EU. It is scary that so many educated people believe these idiotic stories as fact. Their hate runs that deep that they will ignore the real threats.

What I don't get. The US goes to all this trouble to stage 9/11 but is too lazy to plant some WMD in Iraq?
ALSO:
What makes the tinfoil crowd so certain that the Government hasn't tampered with the tinfoil to make it amplify the Government's signal instead of block it?
I for one think that the "organic" mark on food is nothing more than a secret Government warning that the product contains mind-control drugs.
And these people think they are paranoid! The right should lend them a hand and point out everything else they should be worried about!
