OH THOSE PESKY IRAQI WMD'S!

WMD were allowed to slip away to an even more evil regime than Iraq?

Plays just fine with me. I clearly remember who the obstructionists were that caused the delay.

Bush I was pretty upset with "no new taxes" too, because he knows full well which party stabbed him in the back on that deal. He screwed up: he trusted the untrustworthy.

THE TIMES: ELECTIONS DON'T MATTER

I think it's interesting that the NYTimes has clearly given up on seeing another Democrat administration. That, or they can't see past the next three years.

Objecting to Alito based on the powers they say he will give the Presidency certainly indicates that they foresee no event whereby a President of their liking could benefit from such judicial fiat.

RUNNING FROM HISTORY

Ed -

If you had a blog, I'd read it. I don't agree with 100% of your conclusions, but I found your arguments fair and well balanced. Nice job!

IN DEFENSE OF HILLARY...SORT OF

The problem with anything Hillary says, or any Clinton for that matter, is that you have to look at who her audience is. Everything she says depends on who she is talking to at any given time.

Sorry, I just don't trust her. I have ample reason.

REPUBLICAN NERVOUS NELLIES

Warner has also been identified as a potential candidate for the 2008 presidential race. Pairing up with jelly-spine Frist is not an auspicious opening gambit.

WHAT'S A PRESIDENT TO DO?

Superb posting!

So there were no stockpiles? Who cares??? I don't have stockpiles of peanuts in my house, but with the money I have I can damned sure get them when I need/want them.

It should never have been a question of what Iraq had, it clearly should have been a question of what Iraq could make/get. And as you point out, the risks of being wrong on that count were, and still are, far too high to sit back and hope for the best.

STUPIDITY, THY NAME IS REID

If all is as you say why is Bushy’s approval rating below 40% and dropping? This is your great leader?

No, for many of us Bush is the lesser (by far!) of two evils. I would gladly have voted against Bush in 2000 and 2004, if not for the fact that I would have had to vote for Gore or Kedwards.

The lunatic rantings of Harry Reid, Howard Dean, et al are not the way to bring swing state voters like me over to your side.

Polls mean nothing to me. They are for the intellectually lazy.

I WANT A NEW DRUG

Cut to the chase: I'd rather be around a stoner than a drunk. I won't go to professional sports because of the beer-laden morons drawn to those events.

You can argue the dangers of alcohol vs. MJ all day and not get anywhere. My real world observation is that drunks are more hostile, less in control, and downright a pain to be around.

The "burned out stoner" is no worse than the "ridden hard and put away wet" drinker, and in some ways, better.

IT'S GREAT TO BE GODLIKE!

You want to know what motivates Kos (and Andrew Sullivan, for that matter)? Just check and see how much he gets paid for his BlogAds. Then go see what Glenn Reynolds gets.

Kos and Sullivan shook the money tree, took one look at the stripes of what fell at their feet, and the rest is history.
