PALIN MAINSTREAMS THE BIRTHERS
She is a populist political figure, who therefore appeals to some people with folksy, and less calculated opinions. That is why she will (a) always have a segment of fans who feel she speaks to them and their concerns, and (b) never be a serious candidate for national office.
Comments made by people that don't like your critique of Sarah's quotes are from those who only want ideological-friendly opinions from those who are perceived to be on "their side". I read this same reaction of left-minded sites when a blogger dares to disagree with a favored Democratic figure.
Its just a human thing.

Why make it sound like the child's fault, DaleB? Could it not be that any potential self-doubt on her part would have squashed by her parents/minders/trusted adults ohhhing and awwwing over the idea of a "tasteful", "artistic" set of photos from a world-renowed photographer?

BEYOND SCANDALOUS: MIND BOGGLING CORRUPTION IN THE RECONSTRUCTION OF IRAQ
The name-calling of the Guardian - an excellent newspaper which shames much of the American media in comparison - is inaccurate, but this site apparently has the false view that 'liberal' is just wrong.
But kudos for being 'reality-based' enough, unlike so much of the right, to see the corruption issue as the scandal it is. That's one step closer to seeing other wrongs.

I did find one thing odd about the President's Social Security reform proposal. Being neither rich nor poor, why should I be expected to give up benefits from a plan I've paid into all my life just because others made less than me? Is he trying to create a new welfare plan out of my SSI payments?
