IT'S JUST A LITTLE STAB IN THE BACK

Nagarajan

In fact the only way that Bush could be considered “extreme” was his unaplogetic stance on tax cuts – he thought that people should keep more of their money instead of sending it to the IRS.

This is a joke. Complete farce. A true conservative would never be comfortable with the level of debt Bush has created. He should raise taxes as much as possible to balance the budget. Make the people pay for everything their leaders are doing. THEN the people would feel the full burden what this man and his party have caused. Then the people will start to figure out what it means to be fiscally conservative. Balance the budget, then cut the junk out, then cut taxes. That's fiscal conservatism. Something we haven't seen since there was a budget surplus.

This could have been avoided if Bush had gotten his stupid secret Fatah coup right. But hey, guess what, it was a complete and utter failure just like everything else.

GLENN GREENWALD IS A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR

And where in God’s name did this worthless dreck of a human being come up with the idea that the “overwhelming majority” of Republican voters and audience hates Muslims?

Indeed. It's interesting how much Right Wing Christians actually have in common with Muslims. Aside from the whole Jesus/Muhammad false prophet/God thing, their core belief systems are very similar.

But what really has Greenwald’s panties in a twist is the fact that American political leaders of both parties have, for the most part, taken Israel’s side in the War:

It takes a massive set of balls to ever NOT side with Israel on anything. Not that I'm not siding with Israel here. I would never do that.

THE GOP BAILOUT CONUNDRUM

You know chuck, you are a real asshole. What you don’t know about conservatism – its history, its core principles, its role in the formation of modern society – would fill a building the size of the Superdome. In other words, keep your biased, ignorant, comments about what you haven’t a clue to yourself.

Hey, I'd love to see a demonstration of these so-called principals. Unfortunately, the majority of your party hasn't a clue as to what they actually are.

If they did, your guys probably wouldn't have given away (sans strings or accountability) as much as they already have. Sounds like Obama's just following your lead.

So the smart political move would be to go with the flow and vote for Obama’s giveaway,

Meh. The three trillion dollar money pit of Iraq is far more of a so-called giveaway than national infrastructure projects. At least at the end we'll have some bridges and roads and schools and such that are actually IN OUR OWN COUNTRY, minus all the limbless friends who need government care for the rest of their lives. Giveaway is such a Frank Luntz word Rick.

They have already proven themselves to be emasculated by the voter and their own timidity and cowardice when it comes to standing up for their core principles.

Core principals?

Belad

Where am I going wrong here?

You're going wrong in the "paying off debt" part. The entire financial system is specifically designed to keep consumers in debt and making minimum payments as long as possible.

BLOODTHIRSTY JEWS BRUTALLY MURDER HAMAS BABIES

Thanks Ed 4. It's not that I don't understand, it's that I just don't care. It's very comforting to know that my tax dollars are being used to explode people, some of them accidentally.

This entire argument has been framed by both the right and the left in such a way as to make it totally pointless and without merit. The real debate should be about preventing all countries/parties/factions involved from benefiting from the conflict.

Until that happens (and it never will) debating the finer points is a complete waste of time. But hey, thanks for the really awesome analogy.

Rick Said:

I am sorry if you can’t see the difference between launching a rocket praying that you will kill an innocent and dropping a bomb praying that you won’t.

This is classic. And in the end, what happens? Innocent people get blown up. Awesome. But oh! I did PRAY for it not to happen, so at least I'm cool with God.

This entire argument, the entire thesis of this post is a distraction and a waste of time. This conflict will end the moment its existence stops benefiting so many people/parties/countries. It would be nice if the dialog shifted in that direction for a change, which it won't.

But hey, you guys have built the frame for the argument, and heaven forbid anyone think outside that frame for a second.

Comment Posted By Chuck Tucson On 29.12.2008 @ 15:32

they refuse to believe that there are people and nations on this earth where talking does no good, where dialog is used as a tactic to further war aims rather than as a means to reach a settlement of differences.

This notion is as ridiculous as your position, Rick. This conflict will end the day it stops being massively advantageous to the agendas of all countries/parties involved. Period.

IS 'BARACK THE MAGIC NEGRO' RACIST?

"only goes to show that the mind of a liberal is extraordinarily predictable."

It's genetic Rick, just like it is for you guys on the right. Every bit as predictable, just more on the mean side. It's kinda pathetic watching you guys sling the same stuff back and fourth, never learning anything or evolving. There seems to be a lot more anger and hate on the right though.

It's one of those things that you only talk about with someone if you see them look around, then chuckle a tiny bit when someone tells a racist joke, or someone records some pseudo parody of some nonsense. You all look out for it, and when you spot it, you know you're among friends.
