Nobody understands the economy. Nobody is good at foreign affairs. Nobody can be trusted. VOTE FOR NOBODY!

Do you guys honestly believe I am the one being racist here? -- 'smith'

In a word? No.

We had Samir before we had you.

RE: Savas and a Serious Lack of Experience

Most people do still disagree without dishounouring one another. And no side has a monopoly on fringe elements who would rip apart the world, if they don’t get thier way. Almost all liberals and almost all conservatives, still give thanks for the founders’ vision. -- Savas

There's an item up on Drudge about two guys who got into a fight in a diner over this business.

Then there is my own experience where some people at various convivial social occasions have turned rather vicious at learning (1) I was a christian, (2) I was in the military and/or (3) I held a particular socio-political view that was diametrically opposed to their own.

Mind you now, I never raise my voice nor alluded to their parentage as being 'questionable', let alone calling them 57 varieties of MoFo. They just went 'weird'. I remember one as being a minister. Another being a member of the chruch choir we were singing in.

People are just plain 'weird' about such thinks as politics and a heretofore close associate may turn into a werewolf on you at a moment's notice.

Why? Because they have no 'manners' when it comes to their 'neighbor' on certain points of Life. Or perhaps because they have no appreciation of God. Maybe the two are related.

RE: Further Observations on 'smith'

If you think Obama is somehow stealing the election, wouldn’t that mean McCain is leading in the tracking polls?

Haha, the logic of neoconservatives is frighteningly nonexistent. -- 'smith'

I think he's projecting on that last bit.

And on the first item, I'm wondering what color of crayola he's smoking today.

RE: 'smith'

Don’t even go there by claiming the Republicans are friendly to minorities. You’re not. -- 'smith'

We're talking SERIOUS prejudice here. And I mean on SMITH'S part.

smith is obviously more prejudiced than the kids I went to middle school—then known as junior high—with in Louisiana in the mid-1960s, where, because I didn't think about blacks the way they did I was automatically 'evil'.

He's probably about as 'smart' as they were, too.

RE: For Myself....

....as a co-chair of my precinct in the county Republican Party, I was born and raised in the military. I then went on to a career therein, albeit in a branch different from my Father's.

My attitude about skin color is on a par with a famous First Sergeant's response to the installation Grand Inquistion, a.k.a., the Annual General Inspection, when the Equal Employment Opportunity inquisitor asked HIM about 'race'. His response was....

When I look out at that formation of men, I don't see black, white, red, brown or yellow. ALL I SEE IS GREEN

And he, as we understand it was a very big, black, senior NCO.

Hope that helps....but....as I've exprienced in the past with your ilk..........

Show me one running for the presidency. There are NONE in the current field of candidates. Or is Keyes or Sowell running?

Are you sure you want to be self-identifying with racist rednecks? -- Samir

It has been my experience, in nigh on 58 years of observation, that the first one to throw the 'racism' card is the REAL racist.

So. Identify the 'racist' here. Three guesses. First two don't count.

RE: Indeed

The rule of law is the principal dividing line between our great nation and those of petty tyrants and anarchists. -- Citizen Deux

But what do you do with those who do not abide by that philosophy? ACORN for example. Mickey Mouse is registered to vote in Florida! And on an ACORN-stamped voter registration form?

To claim that an official is elected in an illegal manner, without substnatial proof, only scorns the very fabric which binds our people together. -- Citizen Deux

If you haven't noticed, there's proof aplenty. And it's the ACORN crowd and their ilk that are tearing at the 'very fabric' of our democratic-republic. But then again, I suspect you HAVE noticed, but you don't give a damn.

RE: How?

I want someone to explain to me how these invalid voter registrations equals imminent fraudulent votes in the election? -- Iex

It's really quite simple.

First you register people-who-don't-exist to vote.

Then you send for a mail-in ballot.

Then you fill out the mail-in ballot and send it to your county recorder for the election.

Nobody has to show any positive photo ID of any sort to any official.

The county recorder's staff looks at the ballot to see if it matches the name on their roll of registered voters. If there's a match, they put the ballot into the machine to be tallied.

They MIGHT do a signature check on the envelope that contained the ballot, but in many places that's too time consuming and they might not go through the trouble. Especially if their system for showing registered voters signatures isn't working very well....which I believe happened here last election.

The first step in the process is to get people-who-don't-exist on the registered voter rolls. All the rest is just about as easy.

Hope the helps....

RE: Famous Last Words

I plan on doing just that – while still skewering my political opponents with as much zest and glee as I can muster. -- Rick Moran

It'll be kind of hard to do that from behind bars, compadre.

If these people were attempting to get the prosecutors in Missouri to silence anyone who said anything bad about The One on television there, what do you think they'll attempt if they have the Congress and the Oval Office? Not to forget the FBI, BATF and the military at their beck and call.

How will you 'skewer' them if they cut off your internet access? Or come to your house and seize your computer as evidence in an investigation of your seditious intentions?

At what point is it worthy of actually fighting?
