Earth Hour made me feel good. I turned on each and every light in the house and started both SUV's so they could idle in the driveway. Just for the hour.

HAHA! Conservatives don't know how to hold a protest because they have no experience at it and shy away from making asses of themselves in public.
Nope, to run a real protest you need civil disobedience, bullhorn operators screaming rhyming drivel, police in riot gear, tear gas, dobermans. Throw in a group of preening transvestites or two and there's the recipe.
Photos of local "Tea Parties" I have seen look like class reunions with protesters wearing dockers and Sperry Topsiders holding illegible signs. That's not going to cut it.
With a little practice we'll get it right. I, for one, will be in Chicago on the Fourth Of July with Santelli. Watch the news that night. I will be the one handcuffed, holding the Obama voodoo doll loaded with pins screaming "Free The Markets, Not Free Loaders"
Get real pissed off then get involved. Drive it like you stole it.
We'll get the hang of it. Eventually.

Janeane Garofalo makes it hard for me to watch this show. Each time she appears I cringe. Does she ever wash her hair? I sense bad hygiene in her real life too. She is filthy hippie scum. Hopefully her character will be whacked very soon. Does this show whack women? I don't recall.

Does Bonds have any friends left? Selig avoided him, his team dumped him and the experts (sports media) treat him like a diseased rodent when he set the record last summer. I could care less if Bonds "soiled" the sanctity of the sport. MLB allowed Bonds and his ilk to happen just as the Catholic church allowed pervert priests to happen. Bonds should be sentenced to six years of hard time signing autographs following the Pete Rose table at sports memoribilia expos. Modern professional sports in general is in a real pickle. The college and amateur game is not too far behind. Sad, really.

Outstanding post, Rick! My lady and I read this over breakfast yesterday. The Tribune did us all a service for having the guts to print it. Reminds me of the white couple going to a Chisox game a few years back and were beaten senseless with a piano leg by a black racist west of the ballpark on 35th St.
