GLENN GREENWALD IS A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR

Although there isn't much to add to the Host's thumping of Greenwald, there is one point worth mentioning:

Israel is a progressive liberal democratic nation. One whose population, if moved to the U.S. would most likely vote Democrat by a 70/30 ratio. The fact that the Israelis are in a constant existential battle where they have exactly zero friends in the "hood" doesn't seem to phase Mr. Greenwald, who types in safety while being protected by individuals much more rugged than himself.

From the Israeli perspective, with friends of a feather like Greenwald, or most progressives, who needs enemies.

BLOODTHIRSTY JEWS BRUTALLY MURDER HAMAS BABIES

There are no innocent "palestinians". They elected of their own free will, Hamas. Their government has ALWAYS stated as their ultimate goal the total destruction of Israel and death to all Jews. They train their children to hate Jews. These children are psychotics by their 6th birthday.

Most of the posters here are NUTS. If I were an Israeli, I'd tell you all to kiss my A$$.

Unfortunately, many Israelis are just like you. Their need to be liked preceeds their need to survive.

There never were "Palestinians", there are no "Palestinians" now, and there should never be "Palestinians".

There were no Israeli arab muslims, there are no Israeli arab muslims now, and there should never be any Israeli arab muslims.

If Israel does not adopt the proceeding two sentences as their National Mantra and remove all arab muslims from their land, as arabs have removed all jews from their land, then (and my heart sinks as I say this) there will be no Israel in 75 years.

When I say Israeli land, I mean ALL of Gaza and Judea and Samaria.

IS 'BARACK THE MAGIC NEGRO' RACIST?

When I first saw this on Fox News website, I thought, "What idiot did this? The MSM will beat this drum to a pulp." Natch, it stays on the top of their front page all day. It's still there. Then, tonight I read Rick's post and thought, "Well ok, it's satire and maybe it's funny, and yea, the Dems love their stranglehold on minorities (which they achieve with victomology to the Nth degree). So I look up this guy Saltsman and find out he was Huckster's campaign manager. That was enough for me.

Btw, Michael Reynolds, a little story for you:
Some dear, but liberal, friends were at my house for dinner last fall. Unsolicited, they told me about the wife's father, a lifelong Dem...never voted for anyone that wasn't a Dem. He abstained this year...couldn't vote for a Negro. I actually was shocked. I hate that shit. I hate the crappy jokes. I also hate an entitlement attitude no matter whether it comes from creme to dark brown or anywhere in between. I had plenty of reasons to not vote for Obama. The color of his skin meant nothing to me.

The point being, racism, anti-semitism, homophobism...lots of isms, and they're passed around plenty on both sides of the political spectrum.

Gotta hand it to the Dems, though. They are better demogogues than democrats. They beat the Republicans handily using that tactic. Right on David.

And Beth, remember, that being conservative doesn't necessarily equate to the Republican party. However, it's a lot closer than the Dems. Changes need to be made, but not nearly as many.

JINDAL IS NOT THE ANSWER

Forget about it Michael Scmidtman, you can't convince Rick. He's a man of faith.

Rick, I don't know where Anon is really coming from. I think he's jackin' with you. He is pretty damn funny, though.

On the other hand, you are ripe for pluckin', bein as your talkin' like such a jack.

I gotta hand it to you though, Rick. It takes a lot of FAITH to be an atheist.

Who the heck doesn't "believe" in climate change? The Earth's climate has been changing since...well, since the "Big Bang", or since God created it, or since well, uh,whatever...

There's no there, there, one might say. The question(s), is man causing the earth to warm or cool, is that bad, can we do anything about it anyway? The politicization comes from using limited and dubious data (shit in,shit out) to create models, then making judgements (dis good, dat bad), and most egregious of all, determining that the only solution to these judgements based on dubious models is, of course, to BLAME THE U.S.A., tax us until we bleed, and of course give the fruits of our industriousness to those who haven't done a damn thing for themselves.

It's exactly at this point that I say, "Whoaa, horsey, sometum smells like a rotten fish here", let's slow down and look at this a little more closely. Why is there only one cause and only one solution? Doesn't sound real scientific to me. Does it to you?

P.S.

Creationism does not nullify biology whether you discuss it in school, in church, or on the toilet.
And
Bobby Jindal would probably be the ONLY one of 58 (Ha,Ha) Govenors if his state didn't have financial problems over the next couple of years, with the exception perhaps of Sarah Palin.

THE CHASM BETWEEN US

Excellent, thought provoking piece,Rick. When I was a young man, I fervently believed that Truth only existed in shades of gray. Now as a relatively older man of 60 years, I see a lot more black and white. Time and experience affects us all in different ways.
Maybe President Bush could use this situation as an opportunity. You, Mr. Achmindenizad(?), are welcome to lay a reaf at Ground Zero, and thank you for your concern. I, George Bush, wish very much to set a stone on the site of our former embassy in Iran. I believe you, Mr. Achmindenizad remember that place, don't you? If not I'll be glad to refresh your memory...
And, of course, you may speak at our Universities. I am certain that reciprosity will be immediate as we Americans have a number of people who would love to dialogue with your students as well.
P.S.
I could think of a number of better candidates than "Mr. Peeps" however.

WHY THE POLITICIZATION OF GOVERNMENT IS WRONG

ajacksonian, you nailed it (in a stream of conciousness kind of way)!! The people elect the President and expect the executive branch to follow his (our) will. Yet the government civil service behaves as if the gov belongs to them. After all, they stay around after the current administration leaves. In order for the President to enact his policies, his appointees, by law, must subborn to him. Rick, you have once again (Iraq) fallen off the horse. Sorry
