GOODNIGHT, SWEET PRINCE...

I too only got hooked on the show this season, and am looking forward to the next one. One of the things I noticed about this show, and fiction in novels, movies, and TV is that the main character seems to always go against the grain of authority (24, ER, JAG, Top Gun, Dirk Pitt, Tom Clancy, etc) to accomplish their mission. Often the hero has to battle corrupt people in government who run amok. In the real world, those who go off on their own like that get fired. I just find that interesting.

ABRAMOFF SINGING, HASTERT DANCING

I hear this is the same Brian Ross who "broke" that story about SUV exploding gas tanks, by rigging a small charge to the tanks to make the story look better. Talk about "truth in journalism"!

THE SPOILED BRAT WING OF THE GOP

OK, so we still vote for the GOP and nothing changes. So how does one get the attention of what Rush calls "RINO's"? Seems to me the only way to "send the message" is to say it with votes. A lot of elections have come down to a choice of "the lesser of two evils", and is a sad state of affairs. But how to get the message across? I have returned every fund raising letter back to the GOP with a note saying I'll contribute again when I see the elephants acting like elephants again, instead of donkeys. This is a big quandry for a lot of conservatives like me who feel abandoned by incumbants in Congress.

AHMADINEJAD AND HIS LIBERAL TALKING POINTS

Wow, what a diatribe of hate you get when all you have done is connect the dots (which are invisible to those wearing rose-colored glasses). Hang in there, Rick. All the "ranters" don't get one basic law of the universe: Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not their own set of facts.

TAKE OFF THE 9/11 TINFOIL HATS

Absolutely! And the "media" is just as lazy in their research on current stories, ignoring the historical perspective, either by choice or by ignorance. (At least I hope it's by ignorance)
