Thanks. It wasn’t really common knowledge, was it? The fact that it wasn't mentioned really did color the story in an unfortunate light, because the left and the press, as well as Senator McCain himself, haven't really made note of his candidacy and they really need to repeat it again and again and again...
And given this fact, when the Senator and Presidential Candidate (there it is again, just to make sure we know it now) strolls through the parking lot at the Mall of America doing a meet and greet as he pursues his candidacy for President (can't say it too many times, lest we forget) wearing a flak jacket, accompanied by dozens of heavily armed US Soldiers and Apaches circling overhead, then I know we are truly making progress.
By the way, Mr. Moran can make his point by going to Baghdad himself and making the same stroll the that Senator McCain made, unburdened by a crush of soldiers and attack helicopters, happily buying trinkets from grateful Iraqi peasants. He can even get a picture in front of that Statute dedicated to President Bush.
Unless, of course, he also is a "serious" candidate for president. Unserious: he's on his own.
(You should be nice to me because I didn't even make note of the incorrect conjugation of the verb "to be" contained in the quote, which is what us Islamo-english-grammatico-fascists like to do.)
